For such a small park there is so much on offer here. On entering at The Sharrow Vale entrance you are met by a beautiful tree and a statue of Queen Victoria. A stroll to the right takes you through a lovely wooded area alongside a river with stepping stones and the Mi-Amigo memorial ending with a small shallow lake. Returning on the opposite side of the river is a more open area with children's playgrounds and cafes. A truly delightful place.

Popped here whilst holidaying in Sheffield. Our children (8 & 10) loved playing in the trees, the stepping stones and clambering on the parkour area. The play park is great for all ages, and although we didn’t visit the cafe it was bustling. Easy to see why this is such a popular park.

This is a beautiful park which has a good cafe, plenty of trails and also the Mi Amigo monument which is dedicated to the courageous US Airmen who sacrificed their lives by crash landing their bomber to avoid killing or injuring children playing in the park. There is a lovely brook and weirs and waterfalls along the way. It also adjoins Bingham Park and after that Whitely Woods so you can walk from the centre of Sheffield out to the beautiful village of Ringinglow & beyond. This park is a gem, definitely worth taking a stroll around.

Endcliffe Park is a lovely spot - a nice stream, ponds, lots for the kiddies and a decent cafe. We went while visiting Meadowhall to view the aeroplane crew memorial as we'd heard about it, but when we arrived we were disappointed as tbh it looks more like something you'd see at the seaside or a funfair ie tacky rather than respectful. The information board was interesting but as we were reading it we were approached by a man who said he was Mr Folds who ''owned'' the memorial. He began following us around and making comments but really didn't seem to know much about the story of these brave young men. The memorial is there - behind some fencing festooned with huge American flags and other stuff including potted plants (which we found out had been donated by various businesses even though it doesn't say so). My brother is in the RAF and we wanted some time for quiet reflection but did not find the atmosphere there condusive, so we took the children to the swings instead and returned later when there were only squirrels scampering about.

Such a beautiful little place to go short walk. Perfect if you’ve got a dog. In the summer the field is always rammed full of students and locals. Cafe in the parks quite nice too.

A beautiful little park that we first discovered when our son was at Uni and lived in Endcliffe Village. It has a fresh air feel despite being in a busy built up area. We love the walks and the waterfall which can be spectacular after heavy rain fall.

We love Endcliffe park. Great walks, usually clean, popular cafe. If it is your first visit, it is worth finding the very well kept Mi Amigo crash site when a second world war bomber crashed here. Also lots of ducks in the ponds. If you see the most beautiful ducks you have ever seen, then they are Mandarin ducks which are resident in the park.

Plenty of room on the paths, fields and in the play areas, whatever the weather. Tarmac paths can be used if the other paths are muddy (or you don't want to get your shoes muddy). Nice Cafe, free toilets (locked at night).
Just need to look out for the occational cyclist who doesn't follow the highway code ie speeds and rides where they shouldn't.

I love this park and have been going since I was a child. It has the feel of an old fashioned park with everything you need from a kids area, duck pond wooded area, stream and a large grasses area. Everything you need to keep people of all ages occupied. I would highly recommend

Good place to go once in a while, other than that its rather boring. Loquacious ducks are always fun. Mini waterfall is a treat for photography and a few monuments. Depending on the season there are usually circuses and fairs in this park so keep checking up on what is going on.

Keith Phoenix are you from Sawtry near Huntingdon? Is the park wheelchair friendly/are there any disabled toilets in the area?
IanJay
Sheffield, UK31 contributions
No not from Sawtry, and don’t know Keith Phoenix.
Yes there is a disabled toilet in the park next door to the Cafe.
The park is about 95% wheelchair friendly.
If you go in the mornings you may be able to meet the legend that is Tony Foulds; he meticulously looks after the ‘Me Amigo’ memorial.
Is there anywhere to park
Steve R

There is parking along the very long road next to it. The park has several enterances next to the road, so acces is not a problem. Weekdays are better as many of the residents cars will not be there. There also is some street parking on what it may be termed the other side of the park. Access could be found on a local street map, or on Google Earth. Weekends are a little busier, but a place can usually be found.

Is the fair and play area suitable for 11 to 15yr olds

I would say no, it’s more for the younger end. There are bars that the teenagers like, which is used a lot and of course if you take some sports equipment there’s plenty of grass around. Some teenagers take their skateboards or scooters.

You can walk on either side of the river near forge dam outhouse it is largely linear. However the are lots of paths round endcliffe and you could carry on up past forge dam into the peaks.
