About
An escape room in the heart of the city centre. Based on the High Street we offer four exciting themed rooms. We have two rooms of Witchcraft and Wizardry which are competitive style which can fit up to 12 players at once!

Escape Sheffield is by far my favourite escape room company to go to!
Amazing and brilliant escape room! Their attention to detail surrounding the story of every room is fantastic, hence why I've completed every room, coming back for second attempts. I especially need to praise the 221B Baker Street room due it's uniqueness to others I've played (it was so exciting!) On this occassion we played Taken, which originally was the Christmas room, and I can't believe how different they made it look to its original game! It was challenging yet fun, and we had such a great time! We didn't manage to escape but that gives me an excuse to come back again! Our games host was really friendly on arrival and so kind and informative to us during our visit. Also Escape Sheffield's Covid-19 measures were excellent (we felt very safe before, during and after our visit). I couldn't say more positive things about this place, as they are so original in their puzzles, themes and riddles, making for realistic, fun and immersive experiences. It's great for friends and couples and I'm sure for families too! I can't wait to be returning very soon, as I just can't get enough of their games! :)

A wonderful experience! I did the wizarding escape room and found it so much fun! Our host Chloe was amazing and instantly made us at ease. She helped us along when we got stuck and just made the experience even more amazing. I'd never done an escape room before and was pleasantly surprised by how intricate it was and found it was great value for money. Will definitely be coming back and recommend it to anyone!

My friend and I love escape rooms and we did two one after the other at Escape Sheffield. We were looked after by the lovely Alex who was a real laugh and he really added to our visit.
We did the Sherlock escape room and Contagion, both were lots of fun and super different. The clues Alex gave us were helpful without just giving us the answers.
I’d recommend to anyone whether you’ve done loads of escape rooms before or if it’s your first time!

Compared to other similar places I thought this was a cheap version of a typical Escape Room. You enter via a door off the high street - there’s no room to put your stuff, no toilets and no air conditioning… it was so stuffy it ruined it for us. Literally put in a room with an hour to go and that’s it. The staff are really helpful especially with clues but due to the lack of anything else we would rather go elsewhere in the future. Such a pity.

We visited the Escape Room whilst the kids were on half term holiday from school. None of us had ever done an escape room before but decided to give it a go after hearing some great things about this place. We certainly weren’t disappointed! Ashleigh greeted us with a friendly, warm and flamboyant personality and talked us through what we’d be doing for our escape room (we did the wizard school scenario). The room itself was very cleverly thought out and at the points we were a bit stuck we were helped with some clues which were perfectly timed and just enough to point us in the right direction without spoiling the puzzles. Thoroughly enjoyable, we will definitely be coming back to do the other rooms. I would strongly recommend a visit to this place whether you’re a family looking for something different to do, a business looking for a different slant on some team building, a group of friends or even a novel children’s party. Thank you Ashleigh and we will see you soon! Keep up the great work and I hope your business continues to go from strength to strength.

The Contagion escape room was a fun room with puzzles that weren't too taxing. While the room and puzzles were fun to complete, the tasks largely consisted of finding four or five digit codes for padlocks and didn't offer too much other variety such as directional locks, magnetic releases, switches, clever uses of technology. Fun room for those who are newer to escape rooms but perhaps a little underwhelming for others with more experience of escape rooms. However, I would recommend for a fun hour with friends. Hayleigh, our games master, did a great job.

Absolutely bang on from start to finish .loved it . Sam was are host he's amazing asset to escape room . Will be back .. also nice touch in the bar with board and triva card games and play stations free to use . Loved it been twice hear now will defo be back

My daughter was 12 this week and wanted to do an escape room with her friends to celebrate. She chose Escape Sheffield as they have a Wizards room and she's a massive Harry Potter fan.
I have to say the staff were excellent. Friendly, making jokes when explaining things and just generally doing a great job!
I only went into the room for the introduction but it looked great. Like a Hogwarts school room. My daughter said after they'd finished that it was great fun, the difficulty just right and that clues were given at just the right rate.
They all had a great time and we will be going back as a family to do another room soon.

I have done many escape rooms and this one (witchcraft and wizardary) is definitely up there with one of the best I have done. It had so many locks, which I loved. It was very well set up and decorated overall, very authentic. Kirsty our host/game master was lovely. She was very friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend, it is so much fun.

Just myself and the boy booked in for the Taken room. Dylan, our host, was lovely. Down to earth and fun and helped us along when we needed a nudge in the right direction. Room was good and a decent challenge. Thought it would be more themed to the story though.

Do they provide the harry potters dressing up items as seen in pictures? (Capes, hats, owl, wand etc)? Planning a Birthday & wondering if to bring our own dress up bits & bobs. Thanks

There are these props in the room whilst playing. 2 hats and 2 gowns. Definitely bring more if you want everyone dressed up!

Not in one room - they take between 2 and 5 but recommend 3 minimum. You could split across two rooms, there is at least one escape theme that has two rooms identical. They also do corporate events of up to 15, but not sure how that differs.
