We called into the Herb Farm for lunch while out cycling. We settled for a bowl of soup each as the menu looked a bit pricey for us. It was pleasant wandering round the plants and we enjoyed the maize. The little shop is well stocked with herbs, sauces, preserves etc. but once again it was a bit more than... More

Tuesday 31st January, My husband and I drove to Sonning Common near Reading to go to visit The Herb Farm. The Herb Farm was established in 1985 with the reconstruction on its present site of the picturesque 18th century timber framed barn transported from a farm south of Reading. This building formed the centre-piece of the specialist herb propagation and... More

Thank you very much for your comprehensive review. it is always a pleasure to get feedback on how our customers feel. The toilets are a point which we are aware of and have a planning proposal out to amend this. They should of however been cleaned and stocked appropriately for which i apologise for. Also just a note, Daisys Cafe... More

We visited here with family over from Germany and they thoroughly enjoyed the gifts on offer and we had a lovely time in the Coffee shop/Tea Rooms. Very relaxing and the coffee and biscuits were excellent.

Ever since the cafe was put under new management, they have been producing excellent food and have great service. The selection of items to buy, such as local jam and honey, as well as plants and herbs, are brilliant. All in all, it is a wonderful place, and as it says in the Michelin guide: "worth a special journey".

I met some friends at the coffee shop for our Christmas meet-up. Some of us travel quite a way and it is quite central for us. We have met here for many years although last year, due to various reasons, we were unable to arrange it. Well, what a disappointment. It is obviously under new management. Gone are the friendly... This a good place to spend an hour in the herb garden, half an hour in the maze when it is open, watch the horses if they are in the field, and waste a bit of time in the shop. The café when we went was good - we had a nice light lunch and cake. I think it was... More

A friend has suggested lots of times that I should visit this place, so today I did. It's a nice looking independent place, and I was looking forward to lunch as I was really hungry. After waiting by the till (whilst being ignored by two members of staff) I didn't know whether to seat myself or not. Eventually they acknowledged... More
