I've wanted to play Age of magic for a while and had been recommended it by a few people...it did not disappoint! We secured a booking less than 24 hours before for a Saturday afternoon and played as a team of 3. A truly magical and immersive game with some clever and unique puzzles, I had a lot of fun playing this one. The attentions to detail and the logic behind some of the puzzles show a lot of time has been out into the games build. There were a couple of instances where we solved things with a bit of fluke but also need a couple of hints in the correct direction for some of the puzzles. We also solved a bonus puzzle which added to the magical feel of this room. Without giving too much away, there are lots of interactive parts, special effects and some wow moments. We completed the game in 58:37. I would definitely recommend playing this room. I've done a couple of wizard/magic themed rooms now and this is up there with one of my favourites (and bare in mind I've done around 70 rooms). Also, I liked that it wasn't just another remake of a Harry Potter kind of game. It was more magic, not wizard school. Thank you to Tabby, our games master, who was friendly and chatty before and after the game and got a great group shot of us on completion of the game. It always helps when you have an enthusiastic GM who is passionate about the game and their role.

My wife and I came here after discussing it recently. Having never done an escape room before she had suggested that it would be right up my street. I won’t say it too loudly but on this occasion I was glad that she was right! The room we did was “Vampire Slayers”. It was perfect for a party of two. If you love a horror film that makes you jump, or alternately boldly claim you don’t get scared, this is the room for you. Like other escape rooms, hints are provided to assist during the hour. This is carefully managed to ensure the correct balance of keeping the room a challenge, whilst giving the players every chance to progress/complete. Dan, who took us through the game/instructions, was great. He fully immersed himself into the experience and his overall customer service, put the cherry on the top of the whole experience After learning that there are other rooms suitable for two players, there is no doubt that we will soon be returning. Definately recommend!

We've long had Blown Away on our list of Escape Rooms as it has been recommended to us so many times by friends - and it really didn't disappoint. The premise is simple, but the theming & props were really effective in immersing you in the room. Some of the puzzles were unlike any we'd experienced before in the 40+ rooms we've done, which really makes a difference. Our Games Master was Emma who was really welcoming, great at setting the scene and (quite rare this) leaving us to get on with making mistakes and retracing our steps to get things right again - and only subtly nudging us onto the right path when required. Great value and highly recommended. One thing that might prove helpful - we did it on hard mode and only got out with 26 seconds to spare. So if this is your first Room I'd consider dialling it back to 'standard' mode.

My husband and I attended the Ram Raid escape room for his birthday. We were impressed with our host, who was engaging, friendly and enthusiastic about the room. We were also impressed with the design of the room, and the cool features that made it seem like a real environment. The puzzles were varied and challenging, and excellent hints were given as we needed them - and were suitably cryptic, not just telling us what to do. Overall I'd recommend it as a great way to spend an hour in Reading. Thanks for a great escape!

Did the scary version of vampire slayers- it was great fun and the perfect level of scary, I screamed a lot and the theming was great. Tabbhe did the great double role of both helping us with the occasional hint and playing the role of the vampire, and even added an extra puzzle for us as we were ahead of time. Would definitely recommend for birthdays or occasions or even if you're just bored and want to do a puzzle with friends. I've also done the bomb themed one, can't remember its name, which was also very fun but involved a lot more teamwork than this so I'd say in some ways its easier but in others its harder. Also I loved the picture taking with the props and the signs at the end.

We did the Vampire Slayer escape room as a group of three girls. From the outset our host Dan greeted us with a sense of fun and built up to the experience so we all felt excited (if a little nervous!) The escape experience was fantastic with a spooky atmosphere, some jumpy moments (including creepy live acting) and some interesting puzzles to crack. It was all very well organised and we were amazed to crack it with seconds to spare. A memory that will last a long time!

Visited last weekend as a group of 8 and we did both the Age of Magic and the Ramraid games. Owen was a brilliant host and the games were absorbing and really good value for money. The scenery and layout were atmospheric and very cleverly done. We had a great time and would recommend Escape Reading to anyone that likes an out of the ordinary and fun experience.

What we thought would be a nice romantic escape room evening turned into a terrifying experience in the best way possible! We highly recommend the Vampire room, if you can get the scary version, go for it! You won't be disappointed. Matt, Tabbie and Essie went above and beyond in making this an unforgettable experience! From the incredible voice acting, to the set design, the whole experience was both unique and exciting. Having done quite a few of these, Escape Reading is somewhere that we will be coming back to regularly. Thanks again, Matt, Tabbie and Essie!

Really well done puzzles and tasks for the competitors, there was always something to do throughout the 60 minutes you spend in the room. The staff are also very enthusiastic and made the experience even better (My host was Essie). I’ll defiantly come back to complete all the other escape rooms they have to offer.

Me and my 14yo did the "Ram Raid" bank job room today at Audley St. Easy to miss the entrance as along a terraced street, but amazing what they have inside! Thing that impressed me the most was the quality of the escape room, great attention to detail and it felt authentic and immersive. We were well supported by our host throughout and were given hints whenever we got stuck (we never had to ask for help) The adrenaline built up as we neared the end of the time limit and we had a great time working together to solve the puzzles!
