Great !
Aug 2021 • Family
We really like this pool ! It's simple and straightforward. The sessions are clearly marked and available to book on the website and it's great for all the family. There's even a diving board. Even better now that the pool isn't so crowded as it was. My favourite is the evening session on a warm evening. Grass to have your picnic is a bonus ! I've found the staff here helpful.

I have been many times and it has always been great, warm even on days with cold weather. It is an all-round excellent experience and I would highly recommend.

Great Fun!
Aug 2019 • Family
We visited off chance on a warm but not sunny day, having called ahead we were advised to arrive for the next session time, which was mid afternoon. Lots of free parking, secure lockers, clean changing (albeit very wet and slippy) and a fab basic pool. A few seats round the edge for spectators and grassy areas for picnics. There is a smaller pool for much younger children too. The main pool has a diving board which the lifeguards open and supervise at certain times.
We had a great time exploring, and managed to find our own space too. We'll definitely be back soon! It would be great if the excess water could be brushed away in between sessions, this would make trying to find a dry spot a tad easier.

Woodstock open air pool
Aug 2018 • Family
I grew up in Woodstock and used, lived at Woodstock pool. Iduring a recent visit to Woodstock to visit family over the school holidays I tried taking my little girl and cousins to the pool. I have to say it was the most frustrating experience. What used to be a good facility has been taken over by an organization called better. If only it was better it’s worse. The pool runs on sessions usually three a day working out what time the sessions are is hard work because that changes every day. Then within sessions there are different colored band sessions where each band gets 20 minutes in the pool at one time. The diving board is always closed. It’s a disgrace. We have tried to use the pool five times each time the timetable has changed and we usually have to wait an hour and then go back Very very disappointed and frustrated. Better sort it out please

Why open air?
Aug 2016 • Solo
The question is: why an open air swimming pool here, in Woodstock UK?! Given the English weather, an indoor one would be much better (and could be enjoyed all year round)! Apart from that, the pool was ok! Changing room wasn't great though, as there was some problem with the showers (only very hot water coming through, no chance to mix with cold water). I visited 1 year ago so this may have been fixed in the meanwhile! Good for someone living next door, but I probably wouldn't travel...

Practical and firendly
Aug 2015 • Solo
Outdoor pool with some grass surround. Unusually today it's got a diving board too that is brought into use about 10 mins every hour during public sessions.

Slightly aging but completely practical. Just not with all modern flash looks.

Open April until September.

Gets busy in main public sessions on hot summer day.

Has regular Adult sessions if you want to swim steadily up and down. For some reason just one lane set aside for length swimming even though almost everyone in the pool is doing just that. So that one lane tends to have a mix of speeds - which is a bit of a pain and slightly dangerous. Would be better with 2 3 or even 4 lanes roped off as everyone is length swimming anyway and that helps people avoid colliding.

Temperature comfortable. Slightly cold on entry on a hot day, but that's necessary because if it was any warmer then you've be glowing after a few lengths of good swimming.

And that's not a problem for the little ones either because there's a separate pool for them kept much warmer.

we camped behind the nearby school in august. the changing facilities were good and the water was warm. they also uncovered the baby pool for our grand daughter which we appreciated. the main pool was quite busy but there was room to swim with care. also we were told we could use the showers f.o.c. as we were camping nearby without facilities. good to see an open air pool doing well long may it continue.

A hidden gem for a hot summers day
May 2014 • Family
Nice sized 25m pool, heated to 29 degrees. Opens end April and runs through to Sept.
Main pool and a toddlers/baby pool with a whole bunch of toys to throw in.

Does get busy on hot weekends but there is plenty of grass around to picnic, relax or sunbathe.
Small cafe serves hot/cold drinks, burgers and fries, ice creams and snacks at reasonable prices,
Attentive lifeguards, clean water and a great atmos. It's like being on holiday.
