The most beautiful of all Oxford Colleges
Feb 2019
I may be a little biased because this is my college but St Hugh's is certainly the most beautiful of all the Oxford colleges. Perhaps it is the fact that unlike many of the colleges, it is located away from the city centre, with lush green gardens and a collection of beautiful flora, or maybe it is the fact that it was started so that women could go to school at Oxford, but the environment is warm, friendly and very relaxed..

A hidden gem
Jun 2018
A hidden gem just tucked behind a main road into Oxford. Beautiful and secluded grounds. A leading college on the world stage with an interesting history and a long list he successful and significant students.

Poor quality rooms shared bathrooms !!!

Expected more for the price and breakfast was canteen slop. Obviously a poor college struggling to keep afloat (didn’t even own a punt!)

Lovely St Hughs
May 2018 • Business
I have a soft spot for St Hughs. Too far from the throng most UGs think but that in fact adds to the laid back charm and quiet leafiness of it all. Genuinely genuine porters (unlike some Colleges): very helpful and cheerful souls. Buildings have, if neither medieval charm nor Baroque pomp, a character all their own. Think St Trinian’s. Definitely a swish of divided skirts and a whiff of boiled cabbage about the place but a stolid brio warms the cockles and plucks the reddened cheek.

Large college
Feb 2018 • Couples
St. Hugh college is located in St. Margarets road in Oxford city. It was founded in 1886 and is one of the larger colleges in Oxford having 800 plus students and boasting great facilities.

Lovely place
Sep 2016 • Friends
Stayed here for a couple of nights in September. Rooms are typical student accommodation with shared bathrooms, but they are clean and comfortable. The best bit is the building itself, the sense of history, the whole general atmosphere. We had fabulous breakfasts in the hall which kept us full for our days of sightseeing. It was great to relive that student experience and I would highly recommend staying here.

amazing location for summer camp
Aug 2015 • Solo
I've been on a summer camp to Oxford's St. Hugh College three times already (this Summer will be my fourth) and every single time I've been mesmerized by the architecture and the wonderful garden. I truly recommend you visit this college if you have some time to spare because I can't wait to go back this Summer!
