While spending a week in London (my partner had to work but I was free to roam) I decided to hop the train from Paddington Station to Oxford for a day trip. I pre-arranged a private tour with Felicity (found here on Tripadvisor) and despite some rather dreary weather spent a wonderful couple hours walking the town with her. As... More

I have utilized Hidden Oxford four times with different groups and Felicity has delivered each time! Her tours are always a highlight of our time in the UK! Felicity is extremely versatile and mingles the wonderful history of Oxford with whatever particular theme one wishes to explore. For example: my groups have explored topics like higher education administration, theatre, and... More

I live in Gloucestershire, so not really a tourist and had arranged to take some girlfriends to Le Manoir as a special birthday treat. I wanted to finish the day in Oxford with a tour of some of the University colleges. Felicity was so helpful with my requirements from start to finish. I was on a tight schedule due to... More

We contracted with Felicity for a private walking tour of Oxford highlighting children's literature plus the traditional highlights. She had obviously done considerable research to address our interests. She has an enthusiasm for her subject and kept a good pace. We are particularly grateful for her recommendations of what to do with the rest of our afternoon. There was a... More

We were given our tour by Felicity as a Christmas present. It was a great and informative visit behind the closed doors of some of Oxford's Colleges. It is easy to walk straight past them. A truly great afternoon, learning about the colleges and their history. If you visit Oxford, do go for the private tour.

Our party of 6 were spending a couple of days in and around Oxford and we wanted someone to give us a little bit more than a standard tour. We were all interested in the arts and architecture and prior to the trip we gave Felicity a short brief of our requirements. She really came up trumps and focused on... More

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of an afternoon walk in Oxford guided by Felicity Tholstrup. She is one of the best guides we have had anywhere in the world. She has the wonderful ability to engage with whatever interests her clients have: whether it be architecture, history, culture, or student life. She has the ability to go... More

Felicity tailored the tour around what we wanted: a bit about the city, university and Harry Potter of course. It was our last day in Oxford - bad weather prevented us from exploring the city earlier, so we needed a private (and quick) tour. Felicity was so knowledgeable and filled the time with a lot of information! The Christ Church... More

Felicity gave us a wonderful tour of Oxford, incorporating the wide-ranging interests of our group, age 10 through 77. She knows both town and gown exceptionally well, and told us great stories of murder, curiosities and hidden corners, while ensuring that we saw the more famous buildings also. Many colleges were closed for the Christmas season, but Felicity brought us... More

This tour was the highlight of our trip to Oxford and perhaps to the UK. I was amazed at how seamlessly Felicity integrated my partner's and my very disparate interests (engineer vs English major) into one wonderful tour. I enjoyed the privacy of this tour, which let us actually have a conversation rather than get talked at for 2 hours.... More
