The guided tour was very interesting and our guide, Robin, was very funny and informative. The best part was when he locked my sister in the manacles and we got to throw rats at her. Best tour ever!!!

Hi Dimitrios, we're so glad you enjoyed your tour- definitely one of the only places you'll find where you are actually encouraged to throw things at family members! Thanks so much for your review!

Visited Oxford castle and prison with hubby and eight year old son. The castle is fairly small so the tour really helps to bring it to life. Our guide was Robin, who was a little eccentric and made us giggle! He was very knowledgeable and...More

We had the walking tour with molly , it was very enjoyable and she was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. I’d recommend this , took 1 hour but not fully available if you cannot walk many stairs

We ran out of time to go inside here but walked around the outside and also went into the Malmasion Hotel to see the one cell they have kept original. Definitely somewhere I want to visit if I return to Oxford- hotel and castle!

This tour is definitely worth doing. A variety of information with a good presentation. Gives a genuine feel for the history. If you don't want to pay to go inside there is plenty of information around the outside. Walls etc show a good example of...More

Interesting tourist attraction, but gets booked up quickly, so you can’t always walk up & go round the castle straightaway. We had to book into a later slot, but bought our ticket & sat up on the mound for an hour in the sun, before...More
