We visited the castle in the pouring rain and were pleased to find that it’s all undercover. The tour excellent, we had Molly as our tour guide and she was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The tour was about an hour and covered the tower, prison...More

Hi! We're really happy you enjoyed your time on our site- we hope you got a good 'crime' and 'punishment' when you had your mugshot taken! The 101 steps are definitely not easy, so lovely to hear you found it worthwhile- thank you so much...More

Extraordinary place to see part of the History of Oxford. How brave those people were. We can climb the Mound. It is near to Mall and the atmosphere nearby is really nice.

While on a weekend to Oxford we visited Oxford castle and prison. You have a guided tour rather than walk round by yourself and I must say our guide Robin was excellent. He really did give a real sense of what life was like during...More

My family and I went on a guided tour on Sunday 30 September 2018, with the bubbly Molly. We were totally enthralled by her enthusiastic story-telling and found the whole experience utterly delightful. A definite must see when you visit Oxford.

Had a brilliant guided tour round Oxford prison. Molly was very interesting and knowledgeable. We were taken through the prison stopping at various rooms/cells and given interesting facts and chilling stories.

I didn't go into the jail, just on top of the hill. For £1, it's worth it, because you get a great view of the city.

We visited 1st November and had Marcus as our guide. He was very informative and humorous. The teens loved the scares and throwing the rat at dad was “the best”! Perhaps a little bit pricey as once the tour is over there’s not much to...More

The guided tour was very interesting and our guide, Robin, was very funny and informative. The best part was when he locked my sister in the manacles and we got to throw rats at her. Best tour ever!!!
