Went on this walk in Oxford yesterday. Our guide was Elizabeth she was so informative and knowledgeable, there wasn’t anything she didn’t know about all the series. A fabulous walk, enjoyed the scenery and had a great two hours. Would definitely recommend this tour everybody.

Isabel and Michael are a dynamic duo that made our tour just lovely. Isabel gives in depth, witty dialogue as you drive through Oxford, Cotswold and Stratford on Avon. There are several stops along the way that allow you to get pictures and refreshments as well as toilet breaks. There is an emphasis on Stratford on Avon for this tour with opportunities to purchase tours of Shakespeare’s birth place as well as Anne Hathaway’s home. I enjoyed looking at all the shops and sites. A tour well worth your time.

It was an absolutely fabulous experience to walk through the streets and alleyways of the "City of Dreaming Spires" on a bright, sunny, spring Sunday afternoon whilst on a Medical conference held at its prestigious University, which happened to also steal the topmost ranking in the world for the year. I joined a 2.5 hr walking tour with "Explore Oxford Day Tours" guided by Isobel Lewis who was a wealth of knowledge of the area, the University, its procedures, traditions, student life and history. The tour included the largest and the most beautiful of the 38 Colleges, Christ Church, an architectural marvel, embellished by its opulent dining hall, immaculate quadrangles and spotless gardens. Isobel's tip of coming back to hear the choir sing the next day was simply priceless! She also made sure that the major landmarks and their stories were not missed out, the Radcliffe Camera, Bodleian library, Sheldonian theatre and the University church, just to name a few AND to mention prominent alumni along the way. All in all, I would highly recommend this walking tour of this quaint University town; cannot emphasize the value of walking when discovering places, having toured the same place by bus, years ago. Time very well spent!!!!

I worked with Isobel to plan a group tour for the eight of us from the USA. From the planning stage to executing the plan Isobel was so easy to work with. She even arranged for another guide to give us a walking tour in Stonehenge and Bath. Isobel is a blue badge tour guide around the Oxford area of England. We spent three days with her and her husband David who was our driver. Their touring van was beautiful, clean and very comfortable to ride in. At the end of each day they would drop us off at our hotel in Woodstock. We toured the North Cotswolds visiting quaint villages with some villages being in the TV show Downton Abbey. Besides the Cotswolds Isobel told us about and then visited the Blenheim Palace and the grounds. Part of a day was spend in Oxford seeing and visiting some of the University of Oxford buildings. A favorite was seeing (Christ Church), where some scenes from Harry Potter movies were made. Lastly going into the country side to Windsor Castle and learning so much from Isobel about a different life that is so unknown to we Americans. Isobel is pleasant, knowledgeable and has a talent of presenting her information in an elegant fun way. She even goes out of her way to make sure events happen. Example... my husband wanted to see a Cricket game. She made sure she found a game in one of the quaint villages we were driving through. I highly recommend Isobel to be your guide for a few hours or for a couple of days.

A full day of touring the lovely villages of the Cotswolds. A delight to step back into time and enjoy the peaceful beauty of the Cotswolds. Our guide Tabby and driver David were friendly and pleasant and Tabby gave us a lot of background on the places we visited. A comfortable new minivan took us to some villages I would never have found on my own and some others that are hard to get to unless you drive. A wonderful, memorable day !
