Saw AS YOU LIKE IT at Ham House near the Thames at Richmond. It was a civilised committed performance to an audience of families and West London artistic types. It was a very enjoyable production delivered by a confident cast who seemed very much to be enjoying themselves. There were about 50 people there. There should have been many more. I felt like I'd had a very good, illuminating time.

Fantastic! Creative! Funny! Much Ado about Nothing - I came July 2023. It took place in a playground, using the equipment the children usually play on. True to their name these lovely people are incredibly creative in their approach to all plays. The acting was incredible, from rolling eyes to little nuances in facial movements. The costumes and music particularly fun if you were around in the 80/90s. I mean, Elvis as a Vicar! Need I say more? Come and watch. You will not regret it. A wonderful night out!?.

This is the first time, I have seen a play in a bookshop!
It was a really great experience: the actors, props, music and songs were all superb.
I had such a great night out.
I would recommend the Creation Theatre Company to others who enjoy the experience of well known stories told in a creative way.

If you start reading 'Bleak House' today you might finish it before this production of Dickens' sprawling novel comes to the end of its run. But even if you stay the course as the case of Jarndyce and Jarndyce staggers through the Court of Chancery you won't want to miss Liv Mace's warm, witty adaptation.
A vibrant cast including Creation favourites Bart Lambert and Morgan Philpott guide (and sing) us through the blind alleys of justice, the fogs of Victorian London, and Dicken's unabashed plot twists with energy and charm.
Sophie Jacob, making her professional debut, is perfect as a misused heroine who prevails armed only with her goodness. Joey Holden, showing all the versatility she brought to 'Where There's Muck There's Bras', finds the essence of a freakshow's worth of grotesques and Eleanor House's Mr Guppy captures male pomposity with disquieting accuracy.
Mace illuminates, and leavens, the text with hilarious and haunting songs. Debs Newbold's direction is pacy but never rushed, and leaves the audience with the curiosity, if not the energy, to have a crack at the book.

Wow! Wow! Wow! I am so impressed Creation Theatre Company, i have just watched your virtual Alice show with my young family in Zambia, while other family members watched in Belgium and South Africa at the same time. It was so lovely to watch remotely with them and see them during the performance. It was such a great show, so interactive and the kids loved it. We are seriously impressed you can put on such a amazing show in such difficult circumstances, well done!!

Have attended many Creation Theatre productions over the years, and this was definitely one of the finest… the venue of Blackwells Bookshop will always have a role to play in the show, and with such a literary classic as Charles Dickens' Bleak House to see expectations were high!
The musical elements to the production were a brilliant inclusion to the narrative and the texts being presented. Never just songs within the play but integral parts of the atmospheric storytelling and an extra emotional layer to captivate the audience. Could have enjoyed another hour of this exquisite show… looking forward to the next one.

This Creation production retells the Bleak House story with verve and imagination and is a must-see. The deceptively simple staging in the Norrington Room works very well, and the five actors as always are able to convincingly take on different characters. The musical elements worked very well to convey the chaos of Chancery, longing, loss, regret and hope etc.

Creation's latest production takes us to the Bleak House and an array of beautifully constructed characters. Dicken's novel is brought to life through five amazingly talented actors/musicians. The play, staged in the Norrington Room in Blackwells bookshop, is fast paced, funny, exciting and poignant. Creation at its best!!

Creation are so ingenious. With theatres closed, they have been forced to think creatively and have produced online experiences which are not only different, but actually BETTER than what they might have done in a real venue. We watched their zoom version of Macbeth last night and it was properly intense and fast paced (the script was fairly heavily edited - a wise move) with some very clever effects. With our daughter watching from her college location and us at home, we were able to share the experience, sitting in our darkened rooms and enjoying the bloody vibe. Theatres will be closed again from this week (Nov 2020) so if you're looking for something different to do, you can't go wrong with any of Creation's recent lockdown shows - this spooky Macbeth, their very jolly Merry Wives of Whatsapp or the funny Horatio and Hamlet. If they rerun any of them, do join in!

Creation's Bleak House was a great way to celebrate a birthday, and the highlight of our mini break in Oxford. Great fun, brilliant acting with the cast playing multiple parts and clever use of a limited number of props. Very clever use of space in the bookshop. Music too, what more could we want.

does it matter what seating group you pick for the performance of Midsummers Nights Dream?

As far as I am aware Creation Theatre use different venues for different productions. Check out their website or ring Box office. Always very helpful.
