But..all the shaded tables were taken. OK if you want to top up your tan. Ordered Fishfinger Brioche bun, and Haloumi finger Brioche. Very busy time but was told it would take 15 minutes. It took 20 minutes, so was acceptable. The battered deep fried...More

This is one of Oxford's historic taverns that is worth seeing for its architecture and atmosphere. It dates as an ale house fro the fourteenth century though the front bar dates from the seventeenth century. It is hidden away from the main streets down a...More

Always call into the turf when in Oxford. A quirky little pub down a little alleyway. If you're into inspector Morse or Endeavour then this place is a must.

Not sure how you could raise a yard-glass in this place unless you're really short or kneel down - but great to come and have a pint in this hallowed place of okker fame!

This used to be a hidden away gem with its own individual character. It is still hidden away and the buildings history makes it a "gem". However the drinks and food menu are the exactly the same as in 100's of other pubs in the...More

The Turf is rather a nice pub - if you can find it. The food is fine, the drinks are reasonably priced and there's a large outside dining area. The downsides are that during summer this pub can get very crowded and it can also...More

great experience with food and drinks. Not suitable for rainy day. Normally closes by 11pm. Service is great and ideal venue to meet visitors to Oxford. Got wet on a rainy night. Need some help to locate the place as cannot be seen.
