Oxford University Walking Tour With University Alumni Guide

1,777 reviews
Let a guide bring one of the world’s oldest universities to life on an Oxford University walking tour. Unlike other tours, your guide is a university student with first-hand knowledge of the prestigious campus. Receive information crucial to understanding the history of the institution, and explore in a small group for a personalized experience. Choose a tour time, and delve deeper into the history of Oxford than if you were to explore independently.

Lovely scenic venue, nicely laid out flower beds and a pub opposite. Add some good weather and you could not ask for more.

Whether it is a hot summers day, or a crisp autumnal morning, you can find the team from OX Gins regularly along here walking the distillery guard dogs. There are a few good little boozers along the tow path and the photo opportunities are incredible! You will notice from our insta account that we have conducted many a Gin photo shoot along here!

One of my favourite locks - more spacious than the usual ones, yet not busy at all ( at least from the pedestrian perspective!). Great place for a break or boat watching.

Ideal for peaceful walks and if inclined it is forty minutes to Oxford centre. There is pub just past the lock which opens Friday to Sunday and does meals.Plenty of seats outside for when the weather is better. Many people come to the lock to feed the ducks and geese.
