CHARMING
Sep 2020
My wife and I were thankful to stop off on a pleasant day at this beautiful memorial garden in the centre of Oxford. Well set out and maintained, the garden is located on St. Aldates and is a wonderful memorial dedicated to all that gave so much from the University of Oxford.

Pleasant Open Space
Feb 2020 • Couples
In February the grounds, although tidy, were not very picturesque. There is a small fountain and it had some pretty Spring primulas flowering just after you walk over the small culvert. It is framed by the fabulous backdrop of the college which definitely lifts its profile. A pleasant area to walk in some green open space away from the crowded streets.

A glorious garden!
Jun 2019
We were enjoying our second visit to Oxford and we remembered how beautiful the War Memorial Garden was.
Consequently, we made it a priority to visit the garden again. When we arrived at the garden, it was quite busy with a number of tourists enjoying the delights of the garden.
It turned out to be just as we remembered it. The garden was meticulously maintained with its beautiful flowers beds and the picture postcard views across the garden beds to Christ Church and its associated buildings.
There were some earthworks being undertaken over on one side of the garden, with new pathways etc. being installed. However, the maintenance work did not prove to be detrimental to our enjoyment of this glorious garden.
A visit to the War Memorial Garden is highly recommended for any tourist visiting Oxford for the first time!

A Beautiful Introduction To Christchurch Meadow
Sep 2019
As it is located at one of the main entrances to the Christchurch Meadow, you cannot miss this gem of a garden in the heart of Oxford. Off St Aldate's Street, the little garden is stunning at most times of year - a fine herbaceous border is filled with some quite incredible plants - ranging from the highly-scented lavender to bright perennials. The staff do a great job in keeping the garden immaculate and if you enjoy gardening or just nice plants then stop awhile here and enjoy! For a moment it is difficult to believe that you are actually in the middle of a bustling city.

Beautiful space to spend time in
Aug 2019
Stunned and delighted to come across such a beautiful memorial garden in the centre of Oxford, away from the hustle and bustle of the crowded shops.
An absolutely gorgeous space to simply take a few minutes to reflect as you wander through.

Lovely Garden
Jun 2019 • Couples
This memorial garden at the west end of the meadow is a lovely little garden area. Very well kept and considering the number of people passing through reasonably quite. I always think gardena reas are a great place/idea as a means of tribute. Worth a visit for 15 minutes quite time.

Beautiful
Sep 2018 • Couples
This small garden is at one end of the Meadow. It is always wonderfully manicured although the grass is rather bare and brown at the moment.
