The guest rooms are in a modern tower deep into the College grounds, in the Fourth Quad. An elevator takes you up to the top floor, where four rooms face a long terrace with views of the spires of Oxford. The rooms are clean and bright, with fully equipped kitchen and bathroom (shower only.) Breakfast is in the dining hall, with the students, and it’s typical student food. The location is in the center of town, entry in Turl Street, and there’s also a back gate much closer to the rooms. The people in the Porter’s Lodge couldn’t have been more helpful.

Spent one night in the college as a paying guest through a booking service. Wasn't cheap but Spires View room was superb and made for a memorable stay. Included full breakfast in the gorgeous dining hall.

This was one of several colleges that we visited. Whilst some are larger and some more gloomy, this one was a little gem. It is opposite Exeter College and further down Lincoln College all in Turl Street with The High St. at one end and Broad at the other so it is very central! You enter via the Porter's Lodge and pay your £2 adults or £1 concession. This is the Welsh college which has a good academic reputation You enter the first quad which is of course surrounded by old and beautiful buildings. On one side is the chapel. Just inside the entrance is a bust of T.E. Lawrence although he surprisingly preferred to do much of his studying at home in Oxford.
The chapel is light and airy. Going from the first quad, one goes up a couple of steps along a short corridor and on your right is the college dining room. The walls are adorned by portraits of past alumini including Harold Wilson and T.E. Lawrence, the latter portrait is painted by Augustus John. The dining room itself is a little shabby compared to some but I suppose homely. Coming back into the passage, one exits by another couple of steps to the second quad. Here there is seating so one can rest awhile and savour the beautiful plants and the view. It is a sunny spot and very beautiful.
I am sure that the surroundings help one to concentrate on one's studies and feel motivated to study harder as they are so uplifting. You cannot visit the third quad as it is private. However we enjoyed what we saw very much.

First off it will cost you £2 to access the grounds. It's well worth it to see the chapel and the dining hall and both quadrangles. Lots of photo opportunities, very peaceful and quite away from the city noise. It's right opposite Exeter College (see separate review) on Turl Street.

We attended a wedding at Jesus. The ceremony was in the chapel, then the Breakfast in the Great Hall, and finally an evening reception in the second quad. It was absolutely gorgeous!!! ONe of the most beautiful weddings I have ever been too. The college is stunning, made almost entirely out of sand coloured brick.

With lovely little real life touches, like professors robes left hanging up in hall ways, it is definitely well worth a visit!

It’s in a nice area just off the Main Street. The building is not very exciting . The pictures of the interior look better.

We stayed in the conference center behind the second quad, through an old wooden door in a stone wall, through a passage from which gargoyles perch. English breakfast every morning is included. The rooms are non-descript but have all you need. My only complaint was the limited entrance in the shower througha folding door, a tight squeeze. Jesus College is in the center of the old city, close to everything.

Always visit this college when we are in Oxford.
We were lucky enough to be in the chapel while the organist was practising.
The dining hall is particularly interesting with paintings of former students including Harold Wilson and Laurence of Arabia.

Just a truly beautiful place to visit. The Oxford colleges can be a bit hit and miss but nearly everyone agrees that Jesus is one of the best. Absolutely lovely.
