During the self distancing/stay at home the Christ Church Meadow is still open during the day (closes at 6pm). It is a lovely walk and opportunity to get out and enjoy the sun. The is a small creek running through and nice flowers and paths to walk. Very grateful for this beautiful place.

I spent the summer in Oxford teaching. My accommodation allowed me to walk through Christ Church Meadow early morning and late evening. What a fabulous space for either prepping for the day or unwinding in the evening. My students enjoyed using the meadow as an alternative classroom too.

This is part of a walking tour of Oxford and provides beautiful gardens, river and meadows. All well kept bit there are time restrictions if you want to go inside the college. certainly worth visiting as it is free and a world away from the busy High Street.

The meadow is very big with the river by the side and animals surrounded. Perfect for leisure. I took a walk before I visit the Christ Church and the sunshine was really soothing. Wish I had more time so I could take a nap!

A beautiful tranquil walk around the paths, by the river, up towards the imposing college. A beautiful place to escape and relax. We really enjoyed our walk. Great place to take your sandwiches too, we saw plenty of people enjoying a picnic. Stop and sit for a while by the river and observe the punts going by. We Re named the bench we sat on, the giggle bench.

Came here twice to sit down with a coffee and take a break from sightseeing in a four day trip to Oxford.

The most beautiful surroundings and space. Also Cows. Because so many places are improved by having cows.

and if lucky, you can see a special breed of cows with horns. A thoroughfare to a few walks around the area. Lovely one towards Head of the river and onto River Thames. Great for walks,

Christ Church meadow is a wonderful place for a late afternoon or evening walk. The grounds are spacious and offer a peaceful place just off busy St. Aldate's street. Entrance is free and the meadow was open till early evening each day we were the (April 2016). Fantastic views of Christ Church and the Cathedral. You can follow the Broad Walk over toward Merton College and head up the Merton Walk up to Merton Street, or remain on the Broad Walk all the way to the Botanic Garden. The Poplar Walk heads from the Broad Walk down to the River Thames.
