You enter All Souls by a small door on the Oxford High Street that few passerby notice, and it's as if you've traveled through a time portal. Two glorious quad's await but the highlight is the chapel.
Interestingly, All Souls is the most exclusive of all of Oxford's colleges, and is only a post-graduate institution.

Firstly if you are going to visit Oxford I would advise you to check opening times of the colleges because they open at different times, some don't open at weekends, some don't open during the summer. Some charge & some are free.
This is a good website http://www.ox.ac.uk/visitors_friends/visiting_the_university/visiting_the_colleges/
All Souls wasn't open the first time I went to visit so I learnt a lesson.
The building on the Great Quad was designed by Nicholas Hawksmoor & within in it is the spectacular Codrington Library which is only open on Open Door Day which takes place in September. If you're able to go I would recommend it as the exquisite chapel is also open. You can see the chapel whenever the college is open but you can't go inside it. When it opens during Open Door Day it's heaving with people.

The thing that stood out when we first came was the magnificient sun dial - Christopher Wren's. There are some nice photo opportunities in the quad. The chapel is worth visiting.

The chapel alone is worth the visit to All Souls College. The grounds and quad are extraordinary and beautiful. Check the hours and do make the visit.

We had spent much of the day exploring Oxford on foot. As we made our way along High Street, we came upon the entrance to All Souls College. We were surprised to discover that at that time in the afternoon, the quadrangle and the chapel were open to the public. Many of the colleges either bar the public from entering or charge a fee for entry. There was no charge to enter All Souls College. In fact, the gatekeeper encouraged us in to take a look and advised us of the route which we should take around the quadrangle to reach the chapel.
The quadrangle is simply stunning with the vast grassed square surrounded by the magnificent old college buildings. The chapel and its furnishings, decorations etc. are superb. We were amazed how large it was considering that it is a college chapel.
A “must-visit” attraction for any tourist spending time in Oxford. It is only open to the public on weekday afternoons – do check the actual times before you go!

To become a fellow of this college, one must pas what has been characterized as "the hardest test in the world".It is nicely located on the North side of High Street adjoining Radcliffe Square. Its library is named for a Barbados plantation owner who would become the Governor General of the Leeward Islands. The chapel is lovely also. Christopher Wren was a fellow as was T E Lawrence. It is steeped in tradition, the most notable is the Mallard Parade.

Peaceful and beautiful. A very exclusive college. Free entrance. There's a chapel and a beautiful inner yard.
Located very centrally near the other sightseeing things, so you're going to be there anyway.
It's lovely, don't miss it.

I was delighted to get a tour of All Souls Quad and the Chapel and although I was a little late the guide told me a little of the history of the place. The buildings are very grand architecturally and the chapel is very ornate it really is worth seeing. This is a research University and is rather unique as it does not take undergraduates. I did not catch the gentleman’s name but he was indeed a gentleman.
