very busy in the summer months, its a meeting place if lost, there is a cafe next door, the clock chimes on the hour.

It was quite a nice day (dry!) and I thought I would go up (my wife declined). It's a very narrow spiral staircase and not for the feint hearted. The top provided a great view of, not so much the 'dreaming spires' more like the cranes and scaffolding of Oxford. Worth the effort, but not suitable for anyone with mobility... More

Lovely, but difficult if mobility problems. Went years ago when very active, so not a good idea to go again!

I'm not good with heights and even worse with enclosed spaces but I made the effort to climb the three flights of spiral stairs to get to the top. The view from the roof is amazing, with 360 degrees of the Oxford skyline and on a clear day much further afield. Don't attempt it if you have mobility issues or... More

Very small spiral staircases lead to the top where there is a viewing platform. Good views but marred but lots of scaffolding on nearby buildings in some directions. Not for those who dislike small spaces and heights. 90 steps, so very tiring to get to the top unless fit.

My husband and I have a thing about climbing towers in every city we visit, so we were happy to find this tower in Oxford! The stairs are very tight and steep and would not be suitable for those who are very overweight or have mobility issues. Great view from the top though, so with the climb!

Well worth the climb but I would say not really suitable for those of you who may be overweight or have mobility problems. The views from the top are wonderful. Excellent value for money.

I didn't get time to climb it when I visited, but I really wish I did. Another great piece of oxford architecture, make sure you grab a photo

On an overnight stay to Oxford, so, unfortunately, as we were rushing around to see as much as we could we hadn't got time to climb the 99 steps of this beautiful tower. Only a few pounds to climb to the top for wonderful views of the city - a very good deal. We did see the little bell boys... More

Decided to climb the tower to get a view of Oxford's glittering spires - well when I got up the narrow spiral staircase I thought it was a bit of a waste of time! The tower could do with being a tad taller to get a decent view! It is not expensive to climb about 2£. So on a nice... More
