Not expensive to go up and worth the climb, especially on a nice day! You get a great view of Oxford from here so take your camera but be prepared to climb some creaky stairs to get there!

Probably worth the money and the trip for the views offered, but quite a climb up the stairs on a warm day.

If you want some of the Morse / Lewis views, this is a must. Quite a climb, and cannot pass on stairs, but worth it for the views of Oxford

A narrow winding climb of 99 steps (although I didn't count them) you do get a good all round view over the city from the top. There isn't much room up there so luckily they restrict the number of people going up and down. The Carfax Tower is the only remaining part of medieval St Martins Church and it became... More

We have visited Oxford on a number of occasions so have been up the tower and seen the lovely views from the top. This time we decided that 99 steps in 28 degrees was a little much. The actual tower is worth looking at and is a focal point for many of the walking tours etc.

Don't waste your hard earned money. A waste of time to see dirty roof tops, air conditioners, solar panels, graffiti etc. a rip off. Go to a cathedral instead and get an excellent view from their towers.

I paid £2.5 per person to climb up the tower. It wasn't expensive but the experience was disappointing. The lady at the ticket counter was miserable. First, she just said 'no change'. Of course, do not expect she will give you any information. Just do not go there. If you want to enjoy a pleasant and beautiful view of Oxford,... More
