This was exactly what it says on the tin - a walking tour of the university. Note that you will not get in to any of the halls this is not included but that's fine you get all the information from your tour guide. The only negative point is that they suggest you book online for a free tour (at... More

I've used TripAdvisor fairly often to look through reviews, but this is actually the first one I've written. Tom was delightful! He not only gave history about the sights, but also told interesting stories related to various historical figures and authors related to each place we visited. As a solo traveler, I really appreciated his affable attitude and his ability... More

Tom was an exceptional guide, giving just the right amount of history, whilst keeping us all engaged. I came away from the tour feeling like I had learnt so much in the 2 hours, and was given a good grasp of the culture and history of the university town on our day trip from London. Would definitely recommend!

The best tour guide ever! Speaks loud and clear, very articulate, very kind, very funny, very understanding of what we all would like to know about. The best storyteller ever. He summed up all the most interesting history of Oxford in 2 hours. Very rich in details, with a lot of fun anecdotes here and there. I would like to... More

With a limited time in a city, this tour was great, it gives you a brief overall potted view of the history and layout of Oxford, It was informative, and well planned, Tom, our guide was a local and had also been a student, Which gave him a balanced perspective of the local politics surrounding the History, There were no... My friends and I did the free walking tour on 14/01/17 with Tom our tour guide and what an experience it was. He is full of knowledge and makes the whole 2 hours fun. I would highly recommend this tour especially as Tom is possibly the most beautiful man in England with the most amazing floppy hair.

Took the 2hr full walking tour. Our guide was Ahmed a graduate student who was exceptionally knowledgeable and had an excellent personality and presented his tour with humour and educational guidance. Gave us a first class introduction to the structure and workings of the colleges

The guide is quite interesting and familiar with Oxford. She told us many interesting stories and funny customs in Oxford. However, we were not able to enter some important places that day.

A fun and never boring tour with Tom, our very witty and knowledgeable local guide. Perfect introduction to this beautiful and quirky town. Highly recommend for all newcomers and visitors. Not really for young children even though my three year old carried on well enough in the push chair. I tipped 10 pounds at the end.

Took the free tour, the guide, Tom, was friendly and knowledgeable about the local area, particularly the university. There was no need to book when we visited, just turn up at the meeting point at the right time. This may be different in peak season though. A good way to get a basic insight into oxford.
