I went on the paid tour with Lucy, who was very knowledgeable and friendly. We were able to enter some of the universities' private grounds and visit the Divinity School (where some scenes from Harry Potter were filmed). It was a great tour and I felt like we got a good picture of Oxford.

The Footprint tour is done by students who are very expressive mostly even from Oxford itself. Their tour is very interesting, highly entertaining and you'll get to know all the stories about Oxford you need to know. Although the tour is basically for free, you just have to give a tip in the end since it is so worth paying... More

My wife, baby daughter and I had a great two hours seeing the famous sites around the city while getting interesting historical tidbits and anecdotes along the way from our brilliant guide. We certainly learned a lot of new things about the city that wil make the rest of our stay here more interesting.

My wife and I pre booked the 2pm paid tour (there were some free ones but did not see much). Lucy our guide took us around several Colleges each different and so well explained. Saw the Harry Potter connection (library), also saw where JK Rowling stayed and CS Lewis got his inspiration for the Chronicles of Narnia. So many things... More

Our guide for the morning was Tom. He was quite entertaining if not a little dramatic at times. An oxford graduate himself he told us many stories about the different colleges in Oxford and pointed out important features as we walked around. This is a free tour but a tip at the end is most welcome (if not expected.)

Went on the city walking tour. We had a really interesting guide, very knowledgeable. Covered a lot of the city but was at a steady pace. Brilliant way of visiting the different colleges and areas of Oxford.

They advertise two kinds of tours. £15 to go in colleges and a free 2-hour walking tour in Oxford. Although advertised free, it is NOT!!! The guide, Tom, tells you many times you have to tip him! I did pay him and I would have paid him without asking, but his constant reminder not to forget to pay put me... More

A fantastic way to spend 2 hours in Oxford, we learnt so much about the history of the city and the relationship between the locals and students over the years. Our guide Tom was a fabulous story teller and explained the sites and history very well.

The free footprint tour is an insight into the town (city) and gown (university) sides of Oxford. Our guide Tom was very engaging being both informative and humourous, full of little stories and anecdotes. No need to book online, waste of money, just turn up. Highly Recommened
