My wife and I do not normally engage tour guides. We usually plan a visit and attack sightseeing in a city on our own. While in Oxford recently we varied from the norm and booked with Oxford Walking Tours. Are we ever glad we made this choice. Being big fans of the Inspector Morse BBC series we booked the "Inspector... More

We had a fascinating in depth extravaganza of a tour with Jeff. Very much worth the ticket cost. It was interesting, funny and left us wanting to explore the city more! This was a tour with many surprises and it was time really well spent.

We loved the guide. He was super nice. We learned some interesting things on the tour. However, just thought the tour was a bit cheesy, and not much ghostly. And it was £10 a pop.

I went to Oxford in the middle of January and even though there were only two of us at the 3pm tour, our guide Magnus was still happy to show us around. It really is a great tour and Magnus did a wonderful job! He showed us all the places that I wouldn't have got to myself and presented lots... More

I was in town for just 1.5 days and I wanted to get a feel for the university as well as other places of interest around Oxford. This tour was well-regarded on tripadvisor and it did not disappoint. Jeff was our guide (it was a small, 3-person group) and he did a wonderful job explaining the inner workings of the... More

Really enjoyed this tour. We did the 4pm tour with a young Canadian guide - apologies forgot her name. She gave great historic references and tells a very good story. Not so ghosty tour but a very informative tour of oxfords history. Worth doing for just a tenna.

We came to the Information centre today to buy a map, we ended up buying the guided tour. We were taken on a two hour walk around the streets and colleges. The guide was a fountain of really interesting information going far back in history and lots of details of the colleges and how they developed and operate today. We... More

Our tour was wonderful, we took the 2pm tour and as it was winter it was just our family on the tour. Edward our guide personalised the tour with information that was of interest to our two sons while making sure that he didn't limit the content at all for us. They are 13 and 15 so loved all of... We decided to take the walking tour on the last day of our visit to the UK. We were met by Jeff (Our guide). After his opening monologue, we knew we were in for a treat. Jeff is very knowledgeable and passionate about the workings of the university and various colleges. We both left knowing far more about the inner... More
