We hired a skippered boat for 2 couples for 2 hours. It was absolutely fantastic. We toured the Thames with the wind in our hair and the sun shining down. The skipper managed the locks and we enjoyed some self catered snacks and Henley Gin! While it’s a bit pricey, it’s was a really relaxing afternoon. We’ll definitely do this again!

We (me mum dad) spotted the sign for a boat trip after lunch.
Tickets were around £12.50 for me and £10.50 each for them. The walkway to get on the boat was steady and fine for mum to use her walker.
We sat outside at the front. Lovely views and sunshine. The trip lasted for one hour and we felt it was good value for money wand would definitely go again.

We hired the lovely boat Lilibet for a 1/2 day cruise with family and friends. First class experience expertly handled by the Hobbs team including a very experienced Captain. Lilibet is brand new to the Hobbs fleet and is a luxury. stylish mid-size cruiser. We took our own drinks and food on-board although Hobbs can provide catering if required.

If you were just Paying for an afternoon Tea, I’d say overpriced for what it was , but with the river trip , it was well worth it . Cakes were disappointing, small squares that had gone to mush, I’m also not a big fan of having jam out of small plastic containers ( not even glass ) . So bad for for the environment . Sandwiches weren’t anything special . Saying that nice hot Tea , all the staff were great , boat was comfy and clean , weather was amazing , 3 hours was perfect , drinks not overpriced, so if you look on it as a afternoon Tea, then not worth the money , but when put together with the cruise 👌🏻

On 8/5/23 We prebooked online.. one trip two people. The screen was buffering and said if not working in 20 seconds (something like that) I was to press button again. The trip was nice the young man in charge of our small vessel with about 10/12 people was pleasant. When we got back to our accommodation we checked the account. The payment had been taken twice. I phoned/emailed different contacts. Eventually had to go back to office where he assured me it would be reimbursed within 5 days. A few more emails. Finally got our money back on 22/5/23. I just wonder how many people, especially from Abroard didn’t check till they have got home and had the same done to them and never reimbursed.

I hired an Olympic Class Launch for my birthday. The boat was nice and the ‘check in’ process was easy. However there were a couple things that let this company down. First of all, I asked the young guy who showed us how to use the boat how to take the roof and sides off, he told me we wouldn’t need to do that because it was going to rain and refused to show us how to do it. Later that afternoon, the sun came out and so we took down the sides and roof. When we got back, the man told us off for doing so incorrectly. I let him know that if we were shown how to do this in the first place as asked, we wouldn’t have that issue. In fairness he apologised to us for this and said we should have been shown how.
Secondly, when being shown how to use the boat, the music system was not working. I was told that ‘music wasn’t advertised on the website, therefore they didn’t have to do anything about it’ I then said, music is 100% advertised on the website for this boat and that id like it sorted. The men then went off to try and get it working on another boat, with no success. A man then came out to offer me a £50 refund for the inconvenience, again I wasn’t particularly pleased with this either, since we were taking a boat out for the whole day without music for my birthday, this would have quite frankly ruined my day. Then all of a sudden they managed to fix the music quite easily. Just not sure why they didn’t do that in the first place.
All in all though we ended up having a great day and the boat was nice and comfortable.

Our family of over 30 members wanted to celebrate the 80th birthday of the family patriarch on the 14th May with a day to remember. Over the months of preparation, all the staff at Hobbs could not have been more helpful. The result was the most spectacular lunchtime cruise of 4 hours – all the crew was amazing and informative, the canapés delicious and even the weather was stunning. Would the family recommend Hobbs – you bet we would!! Thank you to you all.

Don't rely on the riverboat taxi service for trad boat festival or lockdown lodge. For lockdown lodge boat ran every 2 hours and only seats 12 so we had to walk back. Same on the way to trad boat festival even though that ran more often. No guarantee you will get on so be prepared to walk or drive.

Not as expected.
When we arrived we had a VERY quick ‘how to’ from the young lad and left to it.
The boat didn’t look as nice as the pictures and even had plastic garden chairs on.
There were 4 randomly placed plastic covers up b it we were not informed about any others- so when the rain struck we all got absolutely soaking including the seats.
When questioned handing the boat back we were told the additional sides were in the front cupboard. We didn’t realise we had to go hunting for things!
After much debate we got a very small refund back- but we left disappointed and with a bitter taste in our mouth.
A real shame considering how much it cost and the planning as it was a surprise for a birthday.
Wouldn’t recommend.

We booked for 7 people and were surprised when we had our own private boat. The 'captain' was a very polished young man, very informative and very helpful. The one hour trip went far too quickly, we sailed along the route of the Henley Regatta. The weather was brilliant which helps. Well done Hobbs for a great trip
