The worst holiday experience we have ever had ! We have been to other 'Warners' and were expecting the same standard and care. From the moment we arrived in the rain , only one person with electric trolley to help with luggage on change over day. We were a little early and decided on lunch , Food choice was limited , we had to chase our drinks twice and had nearly finished our lunch before eventually getting them .We decided to leave the buggy to the less able and managed the long slope up to reception. The room was smaller than we expected but we accepted that as we are not that large, very little storage space.
We had to wait to get into dinner, we were greeted with what was available from the starter , main and sweet menus. We had to query every receipt as our gold card discount was not applied , and when it was it was the wrong amount ,all the time being made to feel that we were the problem.
The theatre is very small and cramped and no able service which meant going to the nearest bar through three heavy doors ,carrying drinks .
The alternative music venue was so dark that it was difficult to find a seat , again carrying our drinks.
Next morning - no hot water , no one on reception answering the telephone so Angela went down to reception in her dressing gown to see what was happening and how long we would have to wait for hot water. Again , we were made to feel that we were the problem.
Went out for a drive and came back for a late lunch. More problems with ordering food and drinks. Did not expect that there was no butter for the bread with the soup.
After lunch we went outside to sit in the lovely afternoon sun , trying to get my lager and a glass of rose again proved difficult , one lot of drinks went to the wrong table who accepted them , Angela went to the bar to sort , they came back with wrong drinks and the receipt was wrong.
Dinner in the evening just got worse - my meal was just acceptably warm ,Angela's pie was stone cold in middle , this was taken away but left me with mine ,we like to eat together . The second attempt was just as bad , and inedible .
Now getting really hacked off, receipt foe drinks wrong again.
We managed to attract a passing F&B supervisor ,Mark. We explained as above and that we were going home the next morning as I was not going to risk driving back that night. Mark was very understanding and made us an offer of £810 refund , which we have received.
The only redeeming thing was the brilliant Santana tribute band , but of course had to struggle with the doors to get a drink.
We decided on a late drink in late lounge , receipts still coming up wrong .
First thing next morning we were so fed up we just wanted to go home so we forewent our day out at Silverstone ,£100 down the drain.
Both my wife and myself have worked in F&B and the holiday industry and have certain expectations from previous Warner holidays.
I don't expect to hear about staff shortages , lack of training and all the other excuses churned out.
HEYTHORPE PARK - avoid at all costs.

4 of us stayed one night for the queen tribute night including a 3 course meal and breakfast all for £75 and it was well worth it every thing was wonderful. Are bedrooms were clean and fresh lovely cosy beds tea and coffee making facilities and little bottles of shower gels and soaps etc. All the staff were really on top form made us feel welcome and couldn’t do enough for us. The only one problem was the drinks on tap were a little musky tasting but the staff changed them straight away. Breakfast was delicious with a very good menu and all the food was piping hot. We are now looking forward to another tribute night and another lovely stay. See you all soon Heythorp hotel and thank you for a first time out in 18 mouths amazing night

Just returned from a 4 day break at Warner Heythrope Park (20 -24th Feb), I must say having read some of the reviews in late Nov/Dec 22 I was not sure how good this new resort was going to be. Well all Ican say is it was a fantastic stay, what a beautiful resort, as you come up the drive you are met by this beautiful house set in stunning grounds. The booking in system on the road is still very good and should remain in place. We booked some time ago so we upgraded to the Superior rooms in the main house, these rooms are absolutely beautiful and extremely large with separate bathroom with a roll top bath and shower. There are 3 restaurants, 2 serving breakfast and 3 serving dinner, we ate at both restaurants for breakfast the Market Garden is the larger restaurant and is self service the Brasserie 32 is much smaller and is waiter service, we ate at this one more and preferred the quiteness and the views overthe grounds from the windows. We ate all all 3 restaurants for dinner and would recommend the Brasserie 32 and the pub, both good menu's. The swimming pool is very good (20 mts), with a sauna, steam room and outside Jacuzzi. Archery and shooting are easy to book along with croquet. Bar and evening entertainment are good woth comfortable seats. We visited Upton house which is approx 30 mins drive away, very nice with plenty of paintings and nice grounds.
Will certainly return to Heythrope in the near future a d would highly recommend it.

Booked a 2 night New Years Eve package. Definitely exceeded expectations, all staff from reception, house keepers and waiters couldn’t do enough for us, polite, friendly and very attentive. Room was lovely, food was great with good facilities. Gym and pool were an added bonus, although shower in spa was a little cold. NYE celebrations were fun and enjoyable.
Thank you to all the staff, you all worked so hard to make sure everyone stay was a success which you certainly achieved

Visited Heythrop on 30th September for a Santana weekend. We must say that the food, the staff, the entertainment, and the spa treatments in temporary set up rooms were first class. Yes we had a smaller room than booked due to problems beyond warners control but we were recompensed for that and the room was fine. Yes we had no hot water Saturday morning but this was resolved quickly. The staff work so hard and keep smiling even when they are under pressure. This needs a little time to bed in but will be Warners Pride and Joy. Their staff and Management deserve a big bonus. All in all our break was a total success. We will be back next April.

I would never recommend that anyone visits Heythrop. The worst weekend of my life. Having previously visited just to be shown around, was impressed but staying there was a very different story!
No help with luggage, quite a walk from the car park. There were 4 in our group that needed help with luggage.
Booking restaurants for meals on line, a total nightmare, &despite being reassured by 3 staff on the phone that it would be sorted it most definitely wasn't, very embarrassing &unpleasant scenes on arrival at restaurants.
Menus poor &lacking information.
No jugs of water on tables! Not done apparently,!!
Waiters having to apologise for food not available, not their fault!!!!!
Restaurants not ready for service.
Dreadful ordering system which takes ages.
Not enough staff on duty at busy times.
Having to carry drinks a long way if you want to sit somewhere quiet.
Our room wasn't cleaned until the eve after 2 phone calls to reception.
No activities on Saturday afternoon, so disappointing.
Afternoon tea or tea & cake the worst experience ever , just don't bother!
Entertainment excellent.
Management needs a total shake up.

We had a deluxe room which was a nice size. The view was poor considering the house sits in 400 acres, There was a large mirror by the door which should have been shelves or a cupboard so we could empty our suitcase and be comfortable in the room..
All the staff were very pleasant but Warners needs to re-organise how they deliver the food to the tables. The food was not up to the standard of Studley Castle. The meals were never hot. The sea bass I had was hard as it was overcooked. The lamb on the carvery another evening was hard. The steaks that we ordered in Brasserie 32 were tasteless and poor quality. The roast beef on our last evening was very nice.
The entertainment was poor when compared to Studley Castle. It felt like they were penny-pinching.
The whole place is too big and Warners do not seem to have any control over the running of all the departments. Even the staff when we went into the Marketplace did not seem to know how to use the computer to check off our room numbers!
Needless to say we will not be going back to Heythrop Park again.

Lovely venue, with excellent pool and grounds (if lacking maintenance away from golf users trails) and plenty of local attractions.
Good quality food throughout, with good vegetarian options, especially in the bar.
Post-lockdown it took a long time to get your breakfast after 9am so we had to get early to make something of our day.
Housekeeping was a little disorganised too. People were still coming back of furlough so some of that can be forgiven. But 35 minutes to take a breakfast order was over the line!
The "Adventure Playground" was a broken swing and a bit of a "fort", a shame as there is plenty of space for more equipment!

Very dissatisfied with this golf course. The course is almost impossible to walk so buggy recommended as very long and steep stretches between some holes. The buggies were expensive at £30 and in very poor clapped out condition.Dirty and in poor working order. The buggy paths were very unkept and quite dangerous in some places. The course itself was in good condition except for the bunkers, and very good fairways and greens. There is little or no signage so easy to get lost and can spend time searching for the next tee. Interesting and varied holes, but probably too difficult for high handicap players. The clubhouse is one of the ugliest I have ever seen with no changing rooms and not the place you would want to have a drink afterwards.

Although the hotel facilities are closed presently the Golf Course remains open and is in the excellent condition. We had a great round yesterday. The course is in the most fantastic countryside setting. A real hidden gem in the Cotswolds! Highly recommend this course to anyone!
