Perfect Afternoon Break
Mar 2020
Jaffe and Neale’s combines being a well-stocked and interesting bookshop with being a delightful cafe.
My wife and I called in soon after arriving in Chipping Norton for a short break. The service was quick and friendly and the cakes - ginger and rhubarb cake and a salted caramel brownie - were delicious. I also managed rapidly to find an ideal book as a present for my young niece.

Missed chance to give excellent service.
Dec 2019
I was keen to buy a book by a local author, saw it was available on line, but thought I would give a local business my support. Arrived at 9.20am, lights on, two staff by till but door locked. Took a while to notice opening times, they open a 9.30am. Gave one appealing look, to know avail. I went home and ordered on line. What a missed opportunity to give excellent service and sell books. Think this place is more of a cafe from the other reviews, there are plenty of those in Chippy too.

Nearly choked to death !
Jul 2019 • Couples
This is a bookshop with a coffee shop attached, all is good except on the small patio at the front they allow customers to smoke, I would wager that very few of their customers actually smoke, they are more intelligent, yesterday however in beautiful sunlight we sat out front with our coffee nearly choking to death with the smoke coming from just one selfish customer, why on earth do they allow people to smoke, never again.

Coffee, cakes and books !
May 2019 • Couples
Stopped off in Chipping Norton after a weeks holiday in Hampshire and bumped straight into this super establishment. Good coffee, super cakes and all manner of books. Much better that you visit here rather than any of the national coffee house chains !

Where better for a coffee stop?
Feb 2019 • Couples
Difficult to think of a better place for a coffee if the sun is shining, you can secure a table outside and you want to break a long journey. The added bonus of the book shop is not to be understated. Very nice!

Fab -coffee / tea, cakes and books

Lovely place. Great combination of coffee, tea and cake in a lovely bookshop. The tables are ad hoc throughout which adds to the setting. The cakes were delicious and service excellent. Can thoroughly recommend!

A perfect combination of books, coffee and cakes!
Jan 2019 • Family
I loved the ambience in this interesting and well-stocked bookshop where I could happily spend hours browsing. And best of all they serve excellent coffee and cakes, at tables dotted throughout the store. It was particularly nice sitting in the sunny window overlooking the market place. Such a refreshing change from the bland coffee chains!
