I was extremely disappointed to find the poor state and quality of the pitch and putt course. The greens are covered in weeds, twigs and the grass uncut, both on the fairways and on surrounding the greens. Noone seems to be accountable for maintaining the course, not since the city council cut back the financing for their upkeep. I was led to believe the garden staff were responsible! I can see the council closing it for financial reasons before too long.. they seem hell bent on wasting such a great asset. I would be quite prepared to sweep the greens, put out the flags.... Come on people.. use some common sense. Have some pride, it could be so much better.

During lock-down I occasionally walked down to this park from my flat and have a nice walk in a peaceful environment. Really a nice place to relax and rejuvenate your mind

Been bringing our grandchildren here for years and it's a lovely park with a great tropical house for when it's feeling a bit chilly outside. Play area not too bad but a bit tired, needs some new playthings and new ground cover. But the worse thing is the dog people around the cafe. They let their dogs wander around the tables whilst you are drinking and eating, even letting them wander in the cafe sniffing around. Throwing balls whilst sitting at the table sometimes. It spoils it for everyone else. I'm not a dog hater, had one myself for years but was never as irresponsible as some of these people.
