About
Skydive Langar is a full-time professional Skydiving Centre located at Langar Airfield close to Nottingham in the East Midlands, UK. We provide top-quality training for both Beginner and Experienced Skydivers all year round. Skydives are normally from at least 13,000ft, using our two fast 15-place turbine-powered Cessna Grand Caravan aircraft. For Beginners, Skydive Langar offers three options: our Basic Skydiving Course (using the static line system with an automatically-opened parachute), the high-adrenaline intensive Accelerated Freefall (AFF) Course, and Tandem Skydives for fun or charity - or both!

Had a tandem skydive today and can’t fault it at all. All staff were friendly, the receptionist was friendly on arrival and told us where we could sit and where the toilets, food and drink facilities were etc. Had the safety briefing by a man who was also really nice and clearly explained instructions to us and made sure we understood. Was introduced to my instructor Ben who was also really nice and made sure I was safely in the harness etc. Really friendly man who kept checking to make sure I was ok. He made sure I understood what I needed to do properly and had a good chat with me too, we had a laugh! Really enjoyed the actual skydive would highly recommend, worth the money and W was made to feel comfortable from start to finish. Thank you!

Due to covid and bad weather I had waited nearly two years to complete my jump. Each time it was cancelled Skydive Langar were extremely helpful in securing a new date. On the 30th October the jump finally happened. My instructor Ryan Garner was very enthusiastic and calmed any nerves I had, which were a lot!! He carried out all the necessary safety checks and gave me clear instructions on how everything was going to go from the plane journey to the landing.
There was about a dozen of us on the plane and the atmosphere was fantastic amongst all the skydivers.
I had paid for the video and photo package which I would strongly recommend as it captured me pulling all sorts of strange faces, whilst I waited for “the moment “
When the plane door opened I had a silent “oh what am I doing” moment but Ryan must have sensed this as he gave a big let’s do this, you will love this pep talk.
When we dropped from the plane well words are not enough. The most exhilarating feeling ever..the speed, the air hitting my body..just wow.
This was the moment I was most nervous about yet this was the part I felt the calmest and most relaxed. I actually wanted it to continue longer but unfortunately Ryan had to open the parachute. Very necessary but at that moment I knew that initial exhilaration was coming to an end.
Then it was the calm and gentle descent to earth with the countryside stretched below.
The landing.. well that was just a lovely gentle slide over the grass the way I had hoped.
And then the cameraman was there to capture the immediate aftermath of an amazing experience.
There is no point trying to describe it....just do it and you will know.
By the time I got home my videos and photos had already been emailed to me.

I did aTandem Skydive on Sunday 3rd July 2022 for the British Liver Trust.
It was an amazing experience from start to finish. All the staff are lovely and the cafe serves up some tasty treats at very reasonable prices. A special shout out to my Instructor, Kayleigh, and my video/ camera person, Emily. Both of whom were amazing and made my experience all the more special.
I wil definitely be going back again and would highly recommend Skydive Langar as the place to go for anyone else thinking of doing a skydive or static line parachute jump.

As per there terms and conditions they only hold bookings on our system for 2 years from the original booking date even when we have been through Covid lockdown, so everyone who has booked you have taken all their money due to lockdown. We turned up 3 times prior and every time we got there, we were told it couldn't go ahead, so we were told to go on the list where we could just turn up at any time and see if the jump was on,
We have been discriminated against because of Covid lockdown

We have been discriminated against because we turned up prior to covid and couldn't jump, down to the weather.
I'm disgusted on how we have been treated and we will be making it known publicly just how good your terms and conditions are on taking people's money due to the above actions of discrimination and unfair treatment.

An amazing experience made even better by all the wonderful staff and instructors at Langar.
From start to finish they made everything simple and really easy to feel safe and secure.
Once I had booked the tandem skydive everything was taken care of for me. When I had a query it was answered by email very quickly and I was reassured that everything was under control.
One the day of the jump, I arrived at Langar and was greeted by friendly staff who pointed me in the right direction. The training and demonstration were easy to follow and soon the happy atmosphere had rubbed off and I had total confidence in everyone and everything. Special thanks to my tandem instructor (Ben) who was not only professional, but kind, caring and really fun. He made the day extra special for me with encouragement and kindness. As I was doing a charity jump he showed an interest in my story and what had brought me to be throwing myself from a plane. He went above and beyond to make the day extraordinary for me.
I would highly recommend Langar Skydive to anyone looking for adventure as they love what they do and they make you love it too.
If your funds will allow, go for the photo / video package. I would recommend it as the footage comes through really quickly (about two hours later) and the quality of the images is fantastic. They give you something to remember it all by and show off to your friends and family.

I did a tandem jump with Ben & my grandfather did a tandem jump with Dan & it was better than ever imagined. Both men were incredibly professional yet personable and made us both feel at home and at ease. There will never be words to explain how fantastic free fall is & everyone should experience it at least once in their lives!
My only downfall was the lady on reception. She was not welcoming or friendly & shouldn’t be working within a customer facing role. She took my money (£485) & THEN advised me we may not be jumping today. This is not the problem however, it was her general attitude.
My advise to this company would be to recruit people who have social skills, a positive personality & experience with the public to be first point of contact upon arrival as I was very close to getting my money back and leaving because of this person’s ‘service’. It was shocking.
Thank god I didn’t because Ben and Dan saved the day for me and my grandfather.
People pay a lot of money to do this so the whole experience from the moment they book to the moment they land from their jump should be incredible & this one particular member of staff almost made us get our money back & leave.
Thank you to Ben & Dan & my grandfathers fantastic camera man. These men are an asset to the company & to themselves.
Keep being fantastic & thank you so so so much!!

Incredible experience. From the moment I arrived the staff were so friendly and professional. the instructor and camera man were cracking jokes all the way up until we were in the sky on the plane, which really helped ease any nerves. the jump was incredible, so much adrenaline and my instructor did some tricks in the sky with me after he had pulled the parachute which was great fun! All around amazing day, I would definitely go back and do it all over again. If you are able to pay the extra for the photo and video package I would definitely recommend doing so, it’s so worth it!

What an amazing experience!
I booked a tandem skydive for my husband and I as it's something we had always wanted to do but couldn't get the courage up to book it, but we are so glad we did! Both our instructors (Ryan & Ben) were very professional, friendly and made us feel very safe the whole time. Once you get in the plane they keep checking your harness and make sure you know what's happening. When the door went up the people who were skydiving alone launched themselves out which was amazing to watch and then it was our turn. We were a little nervous at this point and the initial drop felt a little scary but after that it was amazing and so surreal! Not scary at all which was much to our surprise. When the parachute went up the drift down was lovely to see the surroundings and my instructor even let me steer the parachute for a little bit which was fun.
We just had the best day experience with Skydive Langer and would highly recommend them to anyone thinking of doing a skydive. They are a great team and you will have the best time. Thanks so much Ryan and Ben for taking us on our first skydive!

Just done a tandem skydive today, raising money for Cancer Research UK. Had a fantastic time. Thanks to Sophie at check in, Ben for the skydive briefing, Siôn for the photography and last but not least Ryan my instructor. Everything was done really professionally with a good splash of humor thrown in which helped with the nerves. I cant recommend this experience enough, absolutely fantastic feeling leaving the plane with a tumble or two, freefalling until the parachute was deployed then being allowed to take control of several turns until Ryan brought us in for a superb landing. If you've ever thought about "giving it a go", then get yourself booked in at Langar now. What a buzz! Thanks to you all. Oh and raised £886 so far for CRUK

Did a Tandem skydive for a Birthday present whilst raising money for charity in the process. I'd had a handful of postponements due to bad weather but it was all worth it in the end. I was lucky enough to get up in the air super quick which was a bonus.
My instructor was Ryan and he was brilliant. Very talkative and friendly and instilled plenty of confidence. The briefing was clear but Ryan reiterated key points during the wait and ascent so that it was crystal clear what would happen and when. He pointed out loads of interesting stuff (landmarks, weather etc) and during the dive itself his communication was excellent.
Enjoyed the experience so much I am tempted to do a course to get a licence. I'd be confident signing up due to the positive jump and the encouragement of Ryan. It seems a great community to get involved in - the regulars were all thumbs up and fist bumps with each other as well as the Tandem visitors.
Have to say all the other staff I saw/met were also great - everyone one really supportive.
You might not get my luck in terms of the short wait, but I'd highly recommend the experience regardless.

Hi. The sport is obviously weather dependent so nothing is definite. From arriving, signing in, briefing and the skydive you should allow a minimum of 3 hrs. Hope that helps

Hi I am wanting to book for my sons 16th Birthday present. Can you pay monthly after the initial deposit? If he is ill on the day does anyone know if you lose your money or can you rebook? is there a café and can you take a group of people to go and watch?
