About
The earliest built brick building in the county. Built by Sir William Pierrepont in 1500 and still lived in by his descendants, the house surrounds a Courtyard Garden of 1875 possibly influenced by Nesfield on three sides with the local Parish Church of St Edmund on the fourth. The East Garden which was laid out in 1973 has a winter flower garden full of snowdrops, aconites, daffodils and hellebores among other plants. The wild Tulipa Sylvestris which has been here since the 17th century flowers in the park. The house has family portraits and regional furniture and welcomes groups on guided tours throughout the year. The house is also available for weddings, meetings, seminars and other such events.

Cosy wedding and fantastic grounds
Aug 2020
We went to a wedding at Holme Pierrepont Hall, it's a fantastic location and the grounds are amazing. Well maintained with incredible gardens and flower displays. The hall is very cosy perfect for a small family & friends wedding. Robert was an excellent host, all staff were very welcoming. Would love to go back again soon to see the gardens in full bloom.

Charming place, charming hosts
Jul 2019
Been to several weddings and events here and for a venue with a capacity of around 80 it really is perfect if you want to be in a historic and atmospheric building. It’s still family owned by the Brackenbury’s, lineage of the Pierrepont family, and they’re dedicated to keeping the place in good order, a tough ask when you consider the Hall was built in 1500! They deserve a huge amount of credit for their dedication to the place, and the fact that it’s the number one choice in the locality for weddings underpins the fact.

20 th June wedding afternoon tea
Jun 2019 • Friends
The place is stunning.

The staff ?????

Was attending a wedding afternoon tea sadly you book the venue and the assistance to dress the table is zilch .. they don’t provide a simple white tablecloth your expected to use the ugly wood scratched table, it’s a wedding afternoon tea ? Hello? luckily we had someone to dress the tables .. they don’t give you any special treatment no fuss nothing ? That was the sad part .. we dressed the table and as we were leaving was asked if they could have a few of our items as they had a beer promotion the next day 😝 cheek, but we let them have it.
So they don’t help you in doing your table for a afternoon wedding tea but had the cheek to ask for a few of our items before we left ..

Just think for what you pay they should give you something .. so advice wedding afternoon tea is a no no it ain’t that great

Visited on a sunny March afternoon, gardens in full bloom. Toured the house great old rooms lovely to see that it’s still lived in and clearly loved by its owners. Looking forward to the Xmas Fair.

A real hidden gem
Mar 2019 • Couples
Took advantage of the recent warm weather and popped in. To get here is a reasonable trek but is so worth it. As you drive down the long, winding speed bumped lane, the hall just appears into view. Evidently, parts of the hall are one of the first brick built buildings in Nottinghamshire. Just enough to keep you interesting but the grounds are a real pleasure to walk through. Far enough to be away from the crowds, but close enough to be home in time for tea (if the tea room is full). Well worth a trip.
