About
Family friendly farm park with lots of animals and a play park. We hold daily animal handling activities and during school holidays have lots of special activities put on to entertain the children. On the site there is also a Café, gift shop and garden centre on site along with some small craft cabins. Overall there is something for everyone for a good day out.

The kids love getting involved
Oct 2021 • Family
Great place as they get the kids involved with stuff. My daughter loves going in the pen to feed the chickens and collect their eggs.

Lovely morning
Jul 2021 • Family
Easy to find. Cheap at only £4 and great for younger children. Its small will only a few types of animals, so on a hot day today it was perfect. The shaded sandpit was a massive hit with my grand-daughter.

The shop is reasonably priced and the staff are lovely.

I will definitely be visiting again when its a bit cooler

Great value
Jun 2021
I visit several times a year with my grandchildren as it is very local for us. It is great value and they always love it. We fed the lambs today which we enjoyed very much. The staff are always lovely, helpful and informative.

Rubbish staff in cafe ! Constant issue so it seems from reviews
May 2021 • Family
The staff in the cafe were rude especially the girl at the till that barked at me ! She was a young girl on the counter ! Was gonna bark back but couldn’t be bothered . Food looked crap anyway and limited on variety ! So went to The Lambley pub which was lovely. The farm here was great but it’s a shame the staff weren’t as friendly and respectful as the animals ! Wont ever be coming back here again

Lovely afternoon
Apr 2021 • Family
We visited today and I felt I needed to post this review. I booked tickets for this farm and then afterwards read some of the reviews and I was a bit worried about what to expect. But you know, we were glad we went. Admittedly we only stayed about 2 hours, we would have stayed longer, but we arrived late and the farm and cafe closed at 4pm. The farm is not huge but my two 9 & 4 year olds enjoyed seeing the animals and yes the playground is a little old but my kids loved going on the slides and running and climbing around. I think for the price of £4 the farm was great value. The sun was shining today, not sure if there was much to do if the weather was poor. Also my kids were really hot & thirsty so I think if the farm were to maybe make the little building next to the toilets into a small snack shack, just selling some kids drinks, treats and ice creams they would make a fortune. We did get these in the garden centre at the end, but due to one way system we did have to wait till the end of the visit. It would have been great to get these whilst playing and us parents relaxing in the playground . All in all, a lovely afternoon.

A little disappointed
Sep 2020 • Family
Im sorry to say this as was really looking forward to going but its was £15.00 and it took all of half an hour and 10 mins of that wss on the play area. We tried to use two of the hand sanitisers which were bone dry and the sink near the park had an intermittent soap dispenser and nothing to dry your hands on the roll was empty. We asked the lady in the cafe which was the exit as it was one way and she just grunted and pointed at the way we came in which said no exit. 🤔 So we left through the no exit. The play area had the same tractor toys on it that my husband played on when he came as a kid as he used to live almost down the road. Hes now 36 and thats how old they looked. The play park definitely could do with a tidy and a lick of paint. We love animals and im happy to pay whatever if it is beneficial to them. Just needs a bit of tlc.

I cannot understand why some people have put bad reviews I have been several times this year and always found staff friendly helpful on advise As for the farm lovely little place grandkids and adults alike love to visit being local . And above all animals well cared for some people will always find something to complain about I probably think things about staff at garden centre on mapperly plains which I find some very rude

Disappointing
Sep 2020 • Family
after reading some reviews we were looking forward to this visit but it was not up to scratch. the farm park was ok not many animals to be honest mostly sheep and goats. one of the llamas had an open wound on it's back covered in flies and didn't look good. the large play area had new large equipment but everything else was falling apart dangerous dirty and worn out. the sandpit about 30 foot square was taken over by weeds and broken fencing and broken toys. the pedal cart playground all the toys were ancient and mainly broken didn't pedal. general appearance was grubby dirty unkempt you struggled to find a picnic table that wasn't covered in bird poo and in danger of falling apart. I think you could spend hundreds of thousands of pounds and just fill the cracks. I'm sure health and safety and risk assessments have been ignored. the cafe restaurant was large great outdoor area but food and tables not cleaned were attracting flies and wasps and I spent the entire time standing over our 3 year old waving a jumper to stop so many wasps going for her ice cream and juice..think before you go and I know there are better places for your kids to enjoy. sorry for this negative review but you have to tell it how it is 🤔

Found staff to be abrupt and arrogant. Really unnecessary and rude way to treat older people. Wont go again

Don't bother going
Mar 2020
Embarassingly poor service. Called in for late afternoon coffee and snack to be greete by four ignorant staff, behind counter, who did not even acknowledge our presence. Eventually, after asking very loudly "IS ANYONE SERVING" an unsmiling lurch look-alike condescended to take an order, but not for a toastie or other food item. Spoke to manageress who feigned horror and indication on the manner of our treatment.
Will never be back!

HI, I am so sorry to hear that you had a bad experience when visiting our site and can only apologise for the behaviour and conduct of the café staff. Just to make you aware the café, although on the same site as the farm, is not run by the farm park itself and actually has separate management/owners. I will ensure that I pass your comments on to them so that they can address this feedback with their staff. Kind regard Jackie (owner floralands farm park)
