More
Based in Nottingham’s historic Lace Market, the National Justice Museum is housed in Nottinghamshire’s Grade 2 listed old Shire Hall and County Gaol. The Museum uses original Courtrooms, dungeons and prison cells, along with a number of more contemporary galleries to exhibit collections relating to justice, the law, crime and punishment in a fun and interactive way. When visiting the museum you may also meet a variety of colourful historical characters with different stories of justice to tell.

I have been here previously and was impressed that there are new displays included that I have not seen before (e.g. the convict ship) and with different actors the experience was still fresh and enjoyable. Highly recommended even if you have been before.

Visiting Nottingham so decided to have a look. Really enjoyed it. History brought to life by actors and models. Great to while away an hour or two. Younger children may find this a tad scary, going into gaol cells etc but very good. Recommend.

The original Court House at the Galleries of Justice is stunningly beautiful. The guides are both interesting and funny. Enjoyed the tour immensely.
