Based in Nottingham’s historic Lace Market, the National Justice Museum is housed in Nottinghamshire’s Grade 2 listed old Shire Hall and County Gaol. The Museum uses original Courtrooms, dungeons and prison cells, along with a number of more contemporary galleries to exhibit collections relating to justice, the law, crime and punishment in a fun and interactive way. When visiting the museum you may also meet a variety of colourful historical characters with different stories of justice to tell.

...old building with a lot of history, could however have been better, unfortunately some of our group were a bit unwilling to accept the "ghostly" athmosphere and the guide also seemed quite happy to be able to finish a bit more quickly.

Go around knowing the history and what's crime and justice. Well had a change of perspective after being there. You need to go and experience it yourself. I was gutted that I couldn't open the safe. Well you can try that out. Best of luck.

Yes you can. Once you arrive you get a wristband which means that you can pop in and out throughout the day.
