This is a unique place to visit. Afternoon tea was delicious. We were a party of 5. We had 2 traditional, 2 vegetarian and 1 vegan gluten free afternoon teas. They were all without exception scrumptious. Staff very welcoming and friendly We will definitely re visit

    A birthday celebration
I booked a Clay Play session as something a bit different to celebrate my friend’s birthday. On arrival we were made very welcome and shown to our table which was already set up with everything we would need. After some friendly tuition we enjoyed creating some lovely little keepsakes. Our deal included a cocktail and cake which were both delicious. The staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone interested in having a craft session in an arty and relaxed environment.

    Glass painting with afternoon tea
This was the first time we had tried glass painting and it was a lovely experience. Everything was explained really well and we were pleased with the results. The afternoon tea was yummy, especially the cakes and scones which were all home made.

Great afternoon tea in the lace market.
Lovely afternoon tea with gin cocktail as a surprise for my wife. We did not book for any of the craft workshops that were going on at the time but enjoyed seeing others making candle and other things. The food and drinks were lovely and we would recommend it. Wife now would like to try some of the workshops.

I attended The Dried Flower Embroidery Workshop on Saturday 6th August 2022 at the Storey Lancaster. It was a fabulous workshop. I enjoyed it so much I have signed up for her next two workshops at the Storey 1st October Make a Candle and the 26th November Making a Dried Flower Wreath.
Debbie was an excellent tutor. I was delighted with my end result.

Our tour guide (Robin Hood) told us to visit this place, so we stopped in to see the lace collections. They were very friendly and helpful. Got some info for the future order online. Meantime, we spent some time in the cafe for tea and scone. I did not know they had some activities here until now - if I ever come back, I'd love to try my hands on something. Looks really fun. We also got small lace decoration to take home, too.

The tearoom was quirky and we loved the decor. The China cups and plates were lovely. The actual afternoon tea was a real disappointment. It was my Mother’s Day treat from my daughter.
We ordered vegetarian and it came with the meat option. The staff were more than happy to change it and then I think we ended up with the vegan option? The portions were really small but tasty. We had 8 tiny sandwiches, one scone and 3 very small pieces of cake. For £23 I thought this was expensive and we were still hungry afterwards! I have had a lot of cream teas and this was the first time I haven’t needed a doggy bag to take surplus home. And I felt sorry for my daughter who had organised the trip out for me.

Hi Alex, Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on your recent visit to Debbie Bryan Ruddington. It was nice to hear you loved our serving China and our tearoom decor, we are especially happy to read that you felt that the food was tasty. We take pride in the quality of our food - everything is baked by us and was freshly prepared for your visit. In addition to the mentioned sandwiches and cakes our Afternoon Tea for One also includes 2 servings of cafetiere of filter coffee or a pot of tea of your choice from our selection of 15+ teas, homemade chocolate and cranberry bark and served with your homemade fruit scone was Rodda Cornish clotted cream, Tiptree strawberry jam pot and fresh strawberries for £23 per person. We are sorry to read that you felt that the Afternoon Tea for One that we served to you was not of value, and to advise as stated on our website that your gift of Afternoon Tea menu is per person although at times guests do request additional cream teas as a supplement if they tell us they would like to share. A table for 3 guests was booked, as an order of just one Afternoon Tea had been made, we asked if additional food and drink would like to be pre-ordered, we were advised no and that 2 other guests would order drinks on the day. We take of all your feedback, and want to thank you again for understanding about our mistake when serving ham sandwiches, I understand this was this was replaced promptly with the correct vegetarian sandwiches of cheddar and chutney, beetroot and cashew butter and carrot, cucumber and balsamic. We appreciate the investment made in visiting us and do hope you and your family will visit again. You and your daughter are welcome to contact us directly on shop@debbiebryan.co.uk if you would like to discuss your visit further. Many thanks Debbie

Enjoyed a fabulous appliqué workshop with my granddaughter three days ago. We were in lace heaven! Debbie and staff very attentive and made us feel very special. Vegetarian afternoon tea was delicious - we loved the beetroot and peanut butter sandwiches. We came away on a high clutching our appliqué creations. I wore my brooch that evening and the hoop has pride of place in my hallway. This was my third workshop with Debbie and Looking forward to many more in Ruddington Village.
Thank you Debbie and your wonderful helpers for a memorable day with my granddaughter.

My daughter bought me a crafting vegan cream tea for my mother's day treat. The food was truly wonderful, especially the scones with jam and cream. I loved the beetroot and peanut butter sandwiches. They may be an acquired taste though! The China was lovely too. As for the crafting, we painted some vintage saucers. We had such fun and it was a really mindful activity. We will be back!

What a lovely shop selling hand made British pieces really enjoyed my visit; the shop has a relaxed atmosphere with helpful knowledgable staff. Also booked my wife a workshop for her birthday which she loved especially the tea and cake not to mention she created a piece of artwork for herself... Worth a visit if you are in town!
