hardly exciting

Not exactly well publicised or signed, we stumbled (almost literally) on this preserved section of the city wall. Not far from the castle, an interesting part of the town.

So, people of Nottingham, did you know?

I write this review simply to promote the knowledge! I've walked along Maid Marian Way a gazillion times and have only just latterly noticed the remnant of the old city wall!

If you come out of Chapel Bar (Upper Parliament Street end of Maid Marian Way) and turn onto Maid Marian Way you will see the Premier Inn on the corner. Look in the window & lo and behold there's the old wall! There is even a facsimile in the pavement that if you'd noticed you will have assumed it to be a bad repair.

Go on, now you know have a look! (Not really worth a visit, but maybe a detour en route to your favourite curry house)
