We weren't there for the golf but thoroughly enjoyed our stay. good standard of accommodation and friendly staff the real highlight was the food. Great meals in both restaurants, and a birthday glass of prosecco from Christian - my new favourite waiter!

This was my fourth visit in the last 3 years. From a golfing point of view everything was as good as always. Well presented generally with true fast greens. Greens which however must never be underestimated as the borrows on some are extreme. Now moving to the hotel services which are the areas really in need of attention. Our group... More

on arrival all staff very friendly and accommodating, they found it was birthday and a special treat arrived of chocolate strawberry's with Happy Birthday written on plate in choclate. The room was luxury with everything you need.(however above eye level very dusty). Had evening meal at hotel which states fine dining, that is debatable, service was extremely slow/poor over 1... Booked this facility through a golf travel website. On arrival on Sunday, we found the courses very busy with society events. The Priestman course was very wet and prebooked buggies were understandably unavailable, trolleys were available at the time we were due to play. Most of the groups ahead of us were four balls, which meant that play was very... More

There were a number of us on a golfing trip for a couple of rounds on both courses. I would say thankfully we had somebody in our group with a bit of course knowledge to advise on lay ups, green positions etc. Let's the bad in the open. The bunkers are shallow, which is ideal for a parkland course, but... More

Played both courses this week. The Priestman course had no signs which made navigating the course a challenge. The Hunting course was the better of the two, had some signs but again could have been better.

The setting is gorgeous, including two golf courses and cottages separate but integral to the hotel. That's the positive. It was clean enough and reasonably maintained (except the fitters in our room lacked a spirit level: everything was squint). Given that it was a wedding party, you would think that the reception and the wedding organiser would liaise. Not so.... More

Twelve in our group tried out the Sunday Driver deal via Golfbreaks.com. A round upon the Priestman course on the Sunday. Excellent course and very playable. Check in after golf followed by dinner in the Claret Jug golf bar. Special thanks to Carl who was in charge of operations and very professional in dealing with our large group of both... More

Booked the Sunday driver. 2 rounds of golf, dinner bed and breakfast. Hotel is very nice. 3 rolls in bacon and 3 coffees when we arrived was £25! Drink is expensive but probably no more than most 4 star hotels. Played the Hunting first. By far my favourite of the 2 courses although probably harder to score on but much... More

Stayed for 3 x nights at this hotel in a VIQ room overlooking the golf course. On check in was told that we needed a credit card. I only have a debit card and then was told we had to pay up front for the hotel and that we could not charge anything to the room and pay the bill... More
