We arrived without a booking. We were able to book on a tour and flight experience. The tour led by Anna was fascinating and brilliantly delivered - she is clearly passionate about her work and cares for the birds’ welfare. We were introduced to many different species and learnt an awful about about birds of prey in general. We also got to ply with the ferrets who are so cute and cuddly and absolutely wonderful. We moved on to flying Toby the spotted owl and Thistle the falcon. It was a magical experience and one that exceeded expectations! It was special and Anna was brilliant throughout along with her colleague Mandy. Thanks for a great morning.

Amazing experience at Falconry Days with my grandson Harry (7). Meghan gave a very knowledgeable introduction to the birds and other animals and explained about how birds of prey live and hunt in the wild and how they live at the Centre.
Flying the birds was absolutely fabulous and the whole experience was just terrific. I felt we had loads of time and were given just the right amount of information. We would thoroughly recommend a trip here to see these magnificent creatures.

We visited here on the spur of the moment after seeing a poster on chollerford bridge while waiting for the lights to change. It is down a long lane, just keep going it comes up on the left.
It is run by a couple who's love of the birds is obvious. We were fortunate enough to get up close to two baby owls which are being raised in the house. There are birds being flown all day as part of the birds daily exercise routine. We decided to do the 90 minutes falconry experience. It was £30 each and worth every penny. This price also includes taking as long as you like to walk around the rest of the centre and look at around 80 different birds. Plus ferrets, again lucky enough to get to stroke babies as the very informative young lady keeper was cleaning them.
The talk is very interesting and the owner answers as many questions as you have. We left feeling we had learned loads. The puppies are really sweet aswell. Benji being the cutest little fella ever. Visit quick before he grows up. SO CUTE. We highly recommend this place, and really enjoyed our time there.

I participated in a half-day flying experience. It was absolutely tremendous, a truly unforgettable experience that will stay with me forever.
It was a fascinating insight into these gorgeous creatures, aided by the very obvious care and passion from the owners and workers at the centre.
Only 2 people are permitted at a time, and it was therefore a very personal approach. We flew a barn owl, a spotted owl, a buzzard, a falcon and a harris hawk, while we were also treated to an aerial display by a peregrine falcon.
The location is stunning. The birds are immaculate and well-cared for, but what really shone was the total commitment and dedication shown by the staff and owners. I would encourage anyone who is remotely interested in falconry to give this a go. I will certainly be back, and with my family.

A last minute booking which was absolutely fantastic! Mark and Mandy gave us a very warm greeting and a cuppa. We had a lovely time visiting all the birds, owls, kestrels, buzzards, falcons and gained a useful insight into their upkeep and training from Mark. Then the exciting part as we got to handle and fly a Barn Owl, Tawny Owl and European Kestrel, followed by a Peregrine Falcon display catching a lure. All of the birds were beautiful and looked after in a lovely environment by people passionate about their welfare. If you are in the area it’s a MUST VISIT place!
Thank you both, your birds and your dogs for a wonderful experience.

We went to falconry days for a mini falconry experience as a gift. We were met by Anna who was lovey and really enthusiastic and knowledgeable about all of the birds. We had a tour of the aviaries before she brought out the birds and let them fly to each visitor.
Anna’s enthusiasm really great to see and made the experience even better.

We booked for the mini falconry experience , and I can’t recommend this highly enough. It’s fantastic value for money. We met Anna and meagan ( and Bruce the dog) on arrival and were instantly made to feel very welcome . Anna was our guide for the experience - her knowledge and passion for the birds was amazing. We learned so much and we were able to ask loads of questions. The experience started with a tour of the birds and then we got onto the flying which was fantastic! It’s clear that the ethos of the centre is very much about caring for these fabulous birds. The staff here are fantastic - if you are in the area please check this place out.

We booked the full day experience and what a wonderful experience it was! Our host was engaging, funny and knowledgeable and the love and respect for these birds just shines through. We started the day with an in depth tour of the centre, meeting all the birds and hearing the stories behind them, the rescue and rehabilitation work that happens there, and fascinating insight into falconry and flying. We then had a chance to fly some very naughty young barn owls. After lunch we moved onto flying some of the bigger birds and it was just amazing to see and be involved. We also had the chance to look around the centre alone and spend some time with all 90 of the birds they have there. I recommend looking up beautiful Bernard. I am still smiling from this wonderful experience.

My wife and I did the mini falconry experience and flew Louis and Henry with expert guidance of Mandy.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would definitely recommend visiting to anyone that loves animals.

The birds are extremely well care for.

Our time flying them and being up close really made our day and a memory we will cherish.

We also enjoyed the company of the other animals at the centre, namely the security guards....Bruce, Benji and Billy the dogs. The two puppies were adorable and funny.

Thanks to Mandy for the detailed explanations of the birds and not rushing us in any part of our visit.

We will definitely be coming back as places like this are a real treasure.

A fantastic experience with knowledgeable and passionate guides. They really looked after us and we never felt rushed.

Watching and then holding first the European Eagle Owl and then a Common Buzzard as it flew to your gloved hand is almost magical.

Do an experience, you won't regret it.
