Not 100, not 500 but 1000 acres of Northumberland moorland and forest play home to this magnificent, elegant Edwardian mansion. That the interiors are almost as dramatic as the exterior says it all. This is very old world grandeur with a modern twist. Bask in the warmth of the reception you receive on arrival, dine at Hadrian's Brasserie, or at the Duke's Grill. Indulge with a vichy water spa treatment or just flop in the fantastic indoor pool. The great outdoors doesn’t get much greater. After a bracing country walk in the wilds, or round on our championship golf course, retire to the Claret Jug and the 19th Bar for a stiff brandy. Surely you deserve it ?

We visited Slaley Hall last weekend for a joint birthday treat. The hotel is very impressive, very large, lots of space and very tastefully decorated. It also looks as though it has been recently refurbished as the furnishings seemed clean and modern. The breakfasts were amazing! Loads on offer and the food was of a high standard. We had one... From the moment me and partner arrived at this brilliant hotel was a joy. It was booked as a birthday present for my partner and we were pleasantly surprised to be offered a free room upgrade & mini bar. The room was excellent with a brilliant view of the golf course and topped off with a free bottle of wine... More

I'll try to keep this short. Travelzoo offer - spa day for two people with 2 spa treatments each and afternoon tea. Bought two vouchers so myself and three friends could go. Voucher said £15 supplement for Saturday or Sunday, not a problem. Emailed Slaley Hall to book a Saturday giving both voucher numbers and clearly outlining '4 persons' and... More

Was bought a spa day with lunch for my 40th. Dreadful dreadful dreadful. All treatments done at same time and rushed. The therapist was looking at her watch constantly. Food tasteless, and very poor quality. Was taken to eat in restaurant, had to walk through hotel in dressing gown, was assured lots of people would be in dressing gowns, turns... More
