    Tiny Portion
Very impressed by the restaurants decoration, cleanliness and general ambiance. Loves that. My food was delicious I ordered arancini as a starter and duck as a main. Both extremely delicious. My sister is vegetarian and had only one option as a main which is a little disappointing. When the main came (beetroot tart) we were so shocked at how tiny it was. Really couldn’t even pass for a starter. We complained and at that very moment the next table were served and a lady also complained about her portion of the same food. Really unbelievable how a chief can think it’s ok to serve such a measly portion as a main dish costing £15. She did receive a new plate with more tart but she had to wait very long and the rest of us had finished eating. Big shame but good meal. Portion size could be improved all round.

    Not a great Roast !
Ate Sunday lunch here, the portions are quite small and the beef was mainly fat. In fact we had more fat than meat. Must have had only three mouthfuls of beef in total. Left the fat on the plate and the server looked at it when she collected the plate but didn’t comment. Also the desserts are bought in. We had a lemon meringue pie and it wasn’t good at all. Pastry soggy and the lemon curd was awful so it was left also and they still charged us for it. The veg is quite nice but really small portions. I see this has been mentioned before in previous reviews too. The best bit was the Yorkshire which was a decent size and home made and delicious. This Sunday lunch was a real let down. See pic of the fat from just my dinner.

    Friends night out
6 of us booked at 8pm on a Saturday evening . First time eating indoors with the inside kitchen open . Food was very good, atmosphere good and didn’t feel rushed at all , last to leave as usual when we go out! Staff polite and friendly , total bill was around £104 each couple for food , drinks plus 2 bottles of wine so good value for the standard of food , we will return !

Queens Arms

With our son coming home from Paris, we wanted to go out for a meal
The Queens arms in Orlingbury, their Sunday dinner, just looked ideal
His German Girlfriend Carina, had never tried a Yorkshire pudding before
It was something, that on her first trip to Britain she wanted to explore
So Six of us booked in for four o’clock, the last sitting of the day
Little did we know, but 3 courses of delicious food would be coming our way
Drinks were ordered, in this newly refurbished venue
And as we took in our surroundings, we perused the menu
With 1 pate and 5 red pepper and tomato soup being chosen for our starter course
It was nice to know that the pate came from Brixworth, a local source
Sounds of slurping, could be heard with mmms and ahhhs
As we revelled in our food, it was all going good, so far
The next course was to be a traditional Sunday dinner
But they also do a vegan option, so everyone’s a winner
You get a Yorkshire with roast spuds, and a good portion of meat
The vegetables are served separately, there’s loads of them to eat
On to pudding, and I had the rhubarb and apple crumble
Full tums all round, my stomach didn’t grumble.
It was very good value for money, at only £22
And it may be the best Sunday dinner around

The service from the staff was excellent which helped us have a relaxed Sunday family dinner. The food really was top notch, a taste sensation, belting gravy and the cauliflower cheese was superb.
And yes Carina did enjoy her first English Sunday dinner, especially the Yorkshire

This pub looks really lovely from the outside but as soon as you step in it's highly disappointing. The bar area is scruffy, has no character and absolutely needs a total makeover. I asked for a glass of rose wine and was given the cheapest, nastiest wine I have ever had the misfortune to drink. Left it on the bar and vacated the place after a brief ten minute stay. Needless to say will not be revisiting this pub.

We visited for the first time and was impressed with the decoration of the restaurant and the cleanliness. This was the only thing impressive. We ordered 2 sharing platters one was £15 and one was £12. I would not describe it as a sharing “platter” they were both tiny. Mainly made up with bread that was black because it was burnt which is disappointing considering as this was the only thing they had to cook really. We got a tiny slither of cheese and a slither of pork pie and 2 slices of beef. What a rip off!! Will definitely not return. Left with a bitter tasted in my mouth paying nearly £30 for two tiny portions “platters” save your money and go elsewhere.

Visited for Daughters birthday. Staff very friendly and greeted us with a smile.
Found the menu was very limited and then when we were informed 3 items on the menu were not available it was even more limited.
We had 1 Vege burger and 2 chicken burgers and a sausage and mash. Portions were not very large and we were all glad that we had ordered starters.
Was ok but not sure if I will rush back.

Food is amazing, however, the ambiance is lacking. The lights are extremely bright and doesn't give a 'relaxed evening vibe'. The staff spent a lot of time chatting rather than serving the guests and looked 'bored' at points. Despite the food being delicious, the menu could be more broad and offer delicious pub grub. My friend who is vegetarian only had one option and found the menu very limiting. If the pub changed the lighting, service and menu slightly it would be 5*.

The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful, lovely atmosphere with nice background music.
The menu had such good choices, the food was excellent, i had gammon steak, the pineapple salsa was a great addition and finished the dish perfectly.
Managed to share a pudding, crumble and custard, gorgous.
Would strongly recommend this amazing pub.
