- Niki jHinckley, United Kingdom576 contributionsFantastic again! We came just over a year ago for our little boy's 2nd birthday and today for our daughter's 6th birthday..amazing as we remembered with so many new additions. (Loved the changes to the construction zone upstairs and the new ball pit room..both of which weren't there last time) Great to see they clearly care about customer experience and are reinvesting back into the product So much to do! The karts and carousel are fab. Still love the little disco room! My daughter tried the rock climbing this time too. We drove around an hour and it is so worth it! Massive thanks for the birthday bag for my little girl..she was over the moon and the items were so lovely and well chosen. ❤️ A fab place..worth every penny! We will be back again for sure!Thank you so much for taking the time out to review your second visit to the Hub. It's really nice to hear that you enjoyed yourselves just as much as the first time. As you noticed, we constantly introduce new play features and have a very large new play area opening up at the end of October. I do hope you and your family can visit us again soon. Thanks again for the great review. - amandeep s1 contributionGreat day out for kids with lots ot do.I took my 3 year old son to Riverside Hub and he absolutely loved it. He didnt stop playing as he continued to find new areas to play. There's enoughto to do for ages 2- 12 years old. the only thing I woud say is that there is a 2.5 hour limit (due to timed car parking) which could be slightly longer. Price was reasonable too, would recommend to all.Thank you for the lovely recommendation of Riverside Hub. It's always great to her that our visitors are enjoying themselves here. If you are not parked with us, then you can stay for up to 3.5 hours at the Hub, which is worth knowing. Thank you once again for recommending us, it is much appreciated. - Zoe CBedford, United Kingdom10 contributionsBest soft play ever! The best soft play ever!!! if you have children of different ages, this place works perfectly! There is so so much to do! From amazing toddlers areas, to huge ball pits, sensory room, rock climbing, the sweetest role play areas with vets, kitchens beautify rooms ect plus laser tag! food is alright too! pizza was actually really nice! parking is a issue! lack of parking, have to pay extra, or walk 10/15.Thank you for taking the time out to review your visit to the Hub. It is really lovely that you all had such an enjoyable time, that you found there was loads to do and that you really enjoyed the pizza! I do hope you can visit us again soon. Our Christmas Experience is very special and I can highly recommend it if you are looking to meet Father Christmas (book quickly though, as we are nearly sold out). Either way, I do hope your next visit is just as enjoyable as your first one was. - Mrs Ruth G10 contributionsGreat Christmas experienceVisited today with our 3 grandchildren and families today. It was fantastic, we all had a great time. The Christmas experience was the best we've ever been to (like walking into Narnia). So much for the kids to do. We will definitely be back.Thank you so much for the lovely feedback from your Christmas visit. As you noticed, we really go for it at Christmas and are already working on how we can improve our 2024 Christmas event. I do hope you enjoy it this year if you visit us again just as much as you enjoyed yourselves in Christmas 2023. - KrissievisitsLeicester, United Kingdom122 contributionsPuts all other play areas to shame! We came today for the Christmas experience. I have wanted to visit for a long time and finally got the opportunity to bring my son. The attention to detail is absolutely spectacular. Everywhere is beautifully clean and well maintained. I did think when booking, that it was a little pricey, but having been I can see that this is because everything is maintained to such high standards and there is more to do than I could have imagined. We didn't even get to do half the things there are on offer, so we will definitely have to make some more trips to the hub. Food is reasonably priced and very tasty. My partner especially enjoyed the pizza! Thank you all for a lovely experience, we can't wait to return.Thank you for the lovely review of your visit at Christmas. It's so nice to hear that you really appreciated all the decorations and little details we have here - as well as all the varied things to do. I was pleased to hear that your partner enjoyed our pizza, as they are all handmade to order and stone-baked. I do hope your next visit is just as enjoyable. - Keeley B4 contributionsDefinitely put it on your ‘To Do’ list!We had the absolute best time at Riverside hub yesterday! It’s so hard to find something to do that all of our boys will enjoy over Christmas, but Riverside had something for every single one of them and they all rated it 10/10 and begging for us to do it all again next Christmas 🎅🏼🎄 Also, the Santa helped bring back the magic for a borderline non-believer when he did a magic trick for them, to prove he was the real Santa, amazing moment 🎅🏼 The staff were incredible and did everything they could to make your experience the best. They took all our coats and things off us before going in to the Christmas experience and told us to run around with the kids instead, play hide and seek and enjoy it. The Elf/helper in the Christmas section was amazing, took the best pictures on my phone, advising me to take my jacket off etc, to get the best picture, just so attentive. Oh, and every way you turned, there was another gift being given to the children, they couldn’t believe it! I will 100% be going back and looking forward to seeing what they have in store for other celebrations such as Easter and HalloweenThank you so much for such a well-detailed review of your Christmas visit. It is great to hear that you really appreciated the care and attention our team put into trying to make sure everyone has the most enjoyable time they can. - PercyCambridge, United Kingdom5 contributionsSuper day out and really great Xmas experience! We took our two children to the Hub for the first time and tied this in with the Christmas experience. An amazing Christmas construction with great backdrops and experiences. Generous size gifts for the children to choose from as well as meeting the Elves and gingerbread decorating. The soft play is big with lots to keep this little ones busy for hours!!Visited November 2023Traveled with familyWritten December 24, 2023
- Sarah L6 contributionsOutstanding once again!Outstanding. We normally visit a few times a year as we live over an hour away however today was the busiest we have seen the hub. Despite this the service from everyone was outstanding and everything ran so well including parking, entering, ordering and receiving food. There was never any queues despite how busy it was and that was due to the organisation. So much thought goes into this place and everytime we visit there is always something new to experience. The whole family gets to enjoy as there is something for small babies all the way to older children. I rave about this place to my friends so it was about time I wrote a review. We cant wait to go back!Thank you for taking the time out to post a review of your visits. It is really nice that you regularly recommend the Hub to your friends. Thank you. We can get busy at popular times, but as you found, our team is very experienced at dealing with large visitor numbers and with all our extensions inside the building, the Hub never feels as busy as it used to do. We are very excited about a brand new role-play area we have opening up in a few weeks time. I do hope you can pay us another visit sometime to explore it once it is open. - Stumbling I1 contributionAmazing labour of liveThis place is awesome, by far and away the best indoor play we’ve ever seen. It’s clearly a real labour of love for the owners and looks to be absolutely no expense spared in every way! Even the staff seem happy confident and helpful which must mean they’re being taken care of too. If you think you’ve seen indoor play before, think again!! The only nag is parking, which can be tricky.. not their fault really.Thank you so much for the lovely review of Riverside Hub. You are quite right, the Hub is very much a labour of love. We work on it constantly and have a team of cleaners, repairmen and specialist installers working well into the night right through the year. We always aim to improve - and have a new play area opening up in a few weeks time which will be very special indeed. I do hope you can visit us again in the future. - Violet B55 contributionsThe best day out ever.We booked for 8 of my daughter’s friends to go to the hub for a 2.5 hour slot for her 7th birthday. The booking could be done online but I did it over the phone with a very helpful and accommodating man (yes- an actual human!) who reassured me that I’d be able to push tables together and bring our own cake and candles etc. The parking space was cheap and when we arrived we were astonished to see that they’ve added even more floors, a snow machine disco area, laser tag, carousel and go karts all free once entered. It was immaculately clean in a way that no other establishment seems to be in the uk anymore especially not soft play centres. My daughter and her friends had the absolute best time and weren’t bored for a second. The toilets were pristine and the staff especially (despite the busyness of the day were incredibly helpful, efficient and friendly). It feels like a happy work place. It is so refreshing to be somewhere that continually improves in quality, every inch of it feels loved and invested in, safe and welcoming. An unforgettable gathering thanks to the Hub and their team for being amazing.Thank you so much for such a lovely review of your visit. You are quite right in that we do put a huge amount of thought, care, attention and hard work into all aspects of Riverside Hub. It is still always really nice though when people appreciate all our efforts. In a few weeks time we will have a very exciting new role-play area opening up in our newly built area upstairs. It is so great to hear that your daughter and her friends all had a lovely time. I do hope you can visit us again sometime in the future. Took my 6 year old son on a Saturday afternoon, first time we have visited for ages but from following the FB page we’ve been impressed with how the Hub have reacted to the coronavirus and the measures they’ve put in place so wanted to visit and as soon as the government announced soft plays could re-open we were on it!
It all felt very clean and there was plenty of hand washing facilities, sanitiser and staff regularly cleaning. Reduced capacity made it a really good experience, no queuing, easy to social distance and adults on the equipment all wearing masks.
Very minor issues with some parents not supervising kids (had to tell a couple of littlies not to climb the slides when other kids were whizzing down if they didn’t want to get injured) but generally all very good - relaxed, quiet atmosphere and didn’t feel hectic like soft play sometimes does. Loads included for the price - soft play, role play, pottery painting, carousel, go karts, climbing tree, sensory golf etc
We had a great time and will return!

My mum has visited before with my sisters children a few times & recommended we go today for a play.
We just turned up so didn’t book online & was advised it is cheaper to book online which I thought was really good of the staff member to mention for next time. We were given a stamp card that entitles you to your 3rd visit free. Bonus!
Upon entry I was impressed with the size of the place, it’s honestly huge! With all the playing my son did today, there was still half the place we didn’t even venture to!
We found an unoccupied table which had 2 empty mugs on and settled in. Staff soon cleaned the mugs away and the table was very clean & not the sticky clean restaurant tables are… it was actually clean 😂
The play area for under 2’s is beautiful & although my 17 month old enjoyed it, it is more for non-walkers & babies! Brilliant sensory area!
The under 5 soft play area was brilliant, lots to do and very clean!
Both of those areas are gated and open by a button on the side of the door frame for everyone’s safety! Really impressed.
The role play area is the area we spent the majority of our time, the building and toys were all well maintained, fully equipped & impressive. Can tell a lot of thought & money has gone into the role play area.
We ordered food from the cafe & although there was a wait, it was lunch time so it’s to be expected 😂 my Mum ordered a panini, I ordered a children jacket potato & a small pizza for my son with 2 drinks came to about £16 which again, is to be expected but was all good quality! I really appreciated them having children’s cutlery! Sounds silly but it’s something that’s often missed. My son ate his own crisps & drink so I don’t think they are adverse to you bringing in snacks / lunch for little ones.
Overall, we spent just shy of 3 hours there. Son absolutely loved exploring & playing.
So much more to explore on our next visit!
Have just read some other reviews & although I am in agreement, it is ‘expensive for a play area’ when looked at in the grand scheme of things (cleaning, maintenance, cost of playing staff & all those other bills ect) it’s all relative & I would say I think it is worth every penny.
Yes you may be able to visit somewhere cheaper but it’ll be half the size & half the standards with subpar facilities.
Would highly recommend & will come back soon 😊

Thank you so much for such a lovely, well-detailed review of your visit.
You are quite right, we do put an awful lot of thought into the play and sensory facilities we have, most of which are unique to us, as we design them and make them ourselves or order them bespoke.
There are many places where families can take children, but not many places where the whole family can have a great time, which is part of the attraction of Riverside Hub for many families.
We have huge plans for 2022/23, so there will be some stunning new play features coming over the next year.
I do hope you can visit us again and experience them.
Kind regards,
Ellis Potter

Riverside Hub simply cannot be beaten! We found that the big play centres in Milton Keynes are all dirty and in some cases both dark and dirty. Carpet everywhere, shoes everywhere and food everywhere. You won't find any of this at Riverside Hub. They have a very clever setup in that the main area with tables and food is all in the middle, very spacious and allows you to see everything. The entire place is also bright and inviting. They are constantly clearing and cleaning tables so you really can relax whilst the kids play. The kids always have fun at Riverside because there are so many things to do. They have recently refurbed to make the please even better and so the sensory/younger area is now much bigger and better. The toddler village is absolutely superb with the different themes. My favourite is the Land Rover area and the attention to detail whilst my daughter absolutely loves the hair salon. The big play area is of course great fun for the older kids and the fact that you can do climbing, merry go round & the go karts without extra cost is really good! This last trip, we ordered food to the table via the app which was handy and then there was a candle floss machine also which the kids loved. I have seen some reviews mention the price as being high but I really don't understand how that can be said. Riverside Hub cost me a third of the price of the zoo or Peppa Pig world and the kids had far more fun at Riverside.

We booked a party room for our 4yo the room itself was fine. We were booked to finish the party itself at 11:30 the food for the party arrived at 11:15 after 30 minutes grace we were asked to leave near 12:00 we relocated to another table having a verbalised agreement on booking that if the cars were moved from the car park we could stay for a few additional play hours. This was revoked, however a party room adjacent were still using there’s until 13:10, we were then approached again and told we needed to leave the building, having already cleared thing with the owner admittedly the children were unaware of the stress and did enjoy the play but as adults elderly and disabled it was not a good experience.
The fact that the adjacent room was booked and used at the same time seams a little double standard. Paying the amount you do you would expect more flexibility but apparently if you walk or park offsite you can stay for a much longer period.
Do not take any form of verbal agreement because they will not live up to it. The last manger who threw policy and procedure at us ended it with “we hope you had a good time” well no not really we as parents of the party did not and will not pay again.

I was sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your party at the Hub.
Our parties are for 2 hours (one and a half hours play and 30 minutes for the party buffet and cake celebration).
On the day of your party we did allow you and your guests to stay for a little longer, but after a very long time, we did have to politely remind you that the party finished a long time ago and that your visit had come to an end.
There's never a right time to remind someone that their time is up, but we were being very accommodating for you, as usually all parties do last 2 hours.
Thank you for taking the time to post a review though. You can be sure we will be discussing the issue within our management team to ensure that we are consistent to all our visitors for future parties.
Kind regards,
Ellis Potter

Never really wrote reviews. But having had my son’s 3 and 4 years party there and a fantastic Xmas day today, I thought it was about time!
Our bday parties have always been so much fun and well organised. The staff are brilliant and the food is always hot and amazing. The kids LOVE the activities and the sheer variety (from baby sensory to a big climbing wall and laser) means there is something for most kids. The first one went so well we did my son’s 4 years party too.
And then today we went to their Xmas experience. First time doing this, had heard great things and was not disappointed at all. So much included for the price; free popcorn or candy floss, play on the frames and go karts and fairground, decorating a cookie, Santa’s visit (he was so engaging with the children and wore a visor and all socially distanced) and pottery painting. All of us had such a lovely time. The decor in the grotto was amazing and I think us adults enjoyed it as much as the kids.
All in all, the hub is one of our favourite places to go with our five year old. And I think it will be for a while yet!

I just wanted to take a few minutes to leave a review for The Hub. We visited today after reopening for the first time with my little girl. We had an amazing time! As you will know if you have been before the facilities are outstanding and just what children need at the moment (in my opinion) If you have any concerns over safety due to Covid I would urge you to reconsider. It is clear from the second you enter the building that the owners have invested a lot of time and money making it as safe as physically possible and have probably exceeded all of the recommendations and advice to ensure that they have made it as safe as they can for children and parents alike! Please please please support them, you won't be disappointed! We have already rebooked for next week!

Thank you for posting your thoughts on Trip Advisor, it is very much appreciated.
We are very plesed with how well our reopening is going. Both our team and our visitors are buying in to the new way of things, and it is pleasing to see that whilst we are stepping up with our safety and social distancing measures, our visitors can still have a really fun time.
We look forward to welcoming you back again in a few days time.

We just visited Riverside Hub with my toddler. He had been fine all morning and had slept in the car on the way over. When he woke, he was a bit grizzly but not any different to usual so we went in. We paid £18 for my son, my husband and me, which I thought was pricey, even though there’s a lot to do. After entering, it very quickly became obvious that my son wasn’t feeling well. We tried to cheer him up but he cried a lot and didn’t want to do anything. We didn’t even take off our coats or enter any of the attractions. After about 15 minutes, we decided we had to leave. My husband explained what had happened at the till and they spent ages asking my son’s name and surname and typing it all in, completely ignoring the fact that he was really upset at this point and we were trying to calm him. They didn’t offer a refund, or ask if we were ok, they just opened the gate to let us out. So we lost £18 in 15 minutes. And I’m really upset.

I am sorry to hear that your son was under the weather when you visited.
It looks as though our team members were unaware that your visit was so short when you decided to leave.
We want to make sure that everyone who visits us has a great time. Obviously your son was not in the mood to have fun when you visited, so you decided to leave after just a few minutes.
Had we known what had happened, I am sure we could have helped you out.
I don't have any contact details for you, as I can't tell who you are through Trip Advisor, but if you email me with your details at ellis@riversidehub.com then we will arrange another visit for you.
I do hope your next visit is a lot more enjoyable for you all.
Kind regards,
Ellis Potter

Let me just state that this soft play in terms of facilities and activities is the best in the area, no doubt about that at all. Our kids loved every part of it… however the experience didn’t feel comfortable…
When I went online to book tickets I noticed that there were blocked sessions so I immediately thought there would be some form of capacity control in place. Upon arrival we were met before we got to the car park to say it was full and we would need to park at the nursery half a mile away… once we managed to get into the building, we spent the next 15 minutes trying to find a table to park ourselves. The centre was overflowing with people, had this not been a pandemic then I might have understood but the number of people made us feel uncomfortable. If you haven’t got enough tables for families then surely that says something. It seems the owners cared more about profit than the safety of their customers. Although you needed to wear a mask to enter, many people weren’t wearing them inside which again was not great.
Once the centre started to empty out we found ourselves a table and purchased refreshments. Upon returning to our table after playing with our kids, our table had been cleared and staff could give no explanation as to why…
The soft play is amazing from a facility perspective but the lack of customer experience leaves a lot to be desired!

Thank you for reviewing your visit to Riverside Hub, your feedback is very important to us.
We have reduced our visitor capacity to 70% of what it used to be pre-covid. We could allow 100% of our allocated fire capacity of visitors in, but we feel that 70% is enough, as we want to give our visitors a more enjoyable and slightly more spacious experience than they had in the past.
The rules have now recently changed, so that it is up to each individual now whether they choose to wear a face covering or not.
It's no secret that we could do with more parking spaces here at the Hub. At weekends, we can fill our car park, but we do have additional parking available a short walk away. Parking is free at the moment, but we are toying with the ide of charging for parking in future, which may encourage people to car-share more.
Later this year we will be adding more floorspace to the Hub, with additional mezzanines, which wil enable people to space out even more.
I am sorry to hear that your table was cleared before you were finished. We are currently looking into ways in which our visitors can signal to our cleaning team that they have not yet finished with their food.
As I mentioned earlier, we are really grateful for all feedback, good or bad, as we are always trying to our offering.
Kind regards,
Ellis Potter

Firstly, we are Disappointed that the SEN sessions have not yet resumed but kids had fun anyway despite the entry costs which we found to be rather expensive compared to similar centres.
Strongly suggest you feed your kids before going as it’s easy to spend £60+ for a 2hr30min session.
Cleaning regime is better than before and hopefully this will continue after the whole Covid madness dies down.
Admission prices
Babies under 1 year £3.50
Children 1 – 3 years £9
Children 4 – 12 years £12
Adults £4.50

Definitely has something for all ages here.
Huge soft play, role playing area, sensory room ect.
There’s a few parking spaces which must be booked and paid for in advance I believe it was £2 for the 2 hour slot.
It’s quite easy to find and the staff were polite.
It was extremely busy when I went considering they only sell a set amount of tickets I personally felt it was too busy.
I went with my 5 month old who loved the sensory room and the baby room. We also went into the under 5s room which was good. I will say however a lot of the older children went into these areas which made it a bit cramped and you would definitely have to watch the little ones more carefully when they are busy in those rooms.
The cafe has a large selection of food and drinks and it’s really reasonable with the pricing.
Overall it was a good few hours out and my little one really enjoyed it.

Thank you for reviewing Riverside Hub.
If you are looking for a quieter Hub, then probably the best time to visit us though is on a sunny day, as we are always much quieter on a sunny day than on a rainy one.
We regularly monitor our under 5's and under 2's areas to try and ensure that older children keep to the other areas. On our busy days we often have someone at the gate monitoring this.
As our under 5's area is so popular, we are going to expand it in a few weeks time, so there will be far more space in there, as well as some really great new play features.
I was pleased to read that you found our food and drink to be reasonably priced and that your little one really enjoyed themselves.
I do hope you can visit us again.
Kind regards,
Ellis Potter

When is the quietest times of the day during the holidays? My daughter is autistic and struggles with busy places.

Hello,
If you email our General Manager Lorraine Murphy at the admin email address on our website with your details, she will get back to you if we have any suitable positions available.
Sorry, I can't type the address in here as Trip advisor won't let anyone type in a direct email address.
Kind regards,

Is the pottery painting real glazed and fired pottery?
Written April 21, 2019
The pottery painting is actually plaster of Paris, but Plaster of Paris Painting does not sound very catchy, so we call it pottery painting.
It is £3.95, as opposed to the £12+ that you would pay for a pottery item to have fired in a kiln.
Ours are painted using water based paints and then left to air-dry, then take home

Yes, we can warm food by microwave (or drinks by sitting them in a jug of hot water). Just ask at the cafe servery.

Hi, just wondered how suitable this would be for a 13 year old boy? We have two children and with the age difference it can be difficult to please both. Thank you
Written April 24, 2017
Good question. For a 13 year old I would suggest that Laser Invasion, our new laser tag arena would be ideal.
Included within your admission fee you and your kids can play as many games of laser tag as you like for no extra cost.
I hope this is of help to you.
Kind regards,
Ellis Potter
