Love this filmhouse. Comfortable seats, easy to book on line and pickup the tickets when you get there, a bar that also serves coffee. A place one can visit alone.

I don't want too many people to go here!

So much better than larger cinemas- quieter, more variety of movies, you can relax with a glass of wine and the films actually start on time, the adverts/trailers are beforehand.

Great Cinema
Feb 2020
I love going to this cinema, wouldn't want to go to any other. It has 2 small cinemas both having large screens, seats being well apart and very comfortable. You can take a coffee or a glass of wine in with you, doesnt do much in the way of snacks. I suggest you book your seats as its very popular.

Excellent comfortable cinema

There is nothing to not like about this place and it has revived my interest in cinema.
Generally free from morons who talk through films and make endless noises eating and answering their phones.
i am reluctant to tell anyone about it !!

An excellent small cinema
Dec 2019
The two-screen cinema is round the back of the theatre. Inside there are comfortable reclining leather seats with plenty of leg room, good sound and picture quality, and good sight lines. Obviously the cinema is small and so the atmosphere is not like being in a classic 2000-seater cinema, but it's still great for an evening out.

Nothing special
Nov 2019 • Friends
Nice bit of room, ok seats. Drinks not great and expensive, snacks not even worth the bother (or price). They stop serving at 9:30pm too so if a nice coffee after a glass of wine watching the film is needed forget it.
Was nice that it was small but the sound quality is absolutely awful!!! The picture quality isn’t much better!
Nowhere to really wait or sit apart from outside, not good in winter. The derngate has a couple of seats but it’s bland in there.
I wouldn’t visit again.

Really should keep this place a sercet, but its by far the best cinema we have ever visited
Jul 2019 • Couples
Wow, what a gem, small arthouse cenema that does mainstream movies.

comfortable seats and leg room, let me just say that again:- "comfortable seats and loads of legroom!

No huge popcorn mountans or ooutrageous priced sweets for sale. everything properly priced. No flipping uncontrolled kids running around off the leash!

Two large glasses of nice red wine for a tenner, that we could take to our seats in the cinema that were reclining and had a shelf and coasters on them to place our drinks on.

Like I said the best cinema we have ever had

We are going to be regulars at this place for sure!

Poor quality screen
Jul 2019 • Couples
After visiting the cinema to watch lion king on the 19th July 2019 I noticed the screen picture quality was not that good. I noticed this more when the picture was showing day shots and in the blue sky areas. I noticed it was very grainy and my partner also commented it look like snow effect on the blue sky. I like the cinema and it's very comfortable but this was disappointing as I expected a perfect picture from a class cinema

Great place to watch films
Jun 2019 • Couples
The nicest place to watch a film in comfort. Really comfortable seating and where else can you sit with a bottle of wine and an ice bucket?
