Nice art

Nice piece of art at the entrance to the main hospital in town. Illuminated at night and fitting tribute to King Edward VII.

There is an inscription that explains the statue and represents an import part of local history. Nice.

This bust of King Edward VII is located at the junction of Cheyne Walk and Billing Road, at the entrance to the old part of Northampton General Hospital.

It is bordered by an inscribed wall made from local stone and looking down on the bust is a statue of At George and the Dragon.

This was a key part of the hospital build and has been well preserved regardless of the growth and development of the local hospital.

Well worth checking out.
