I watched the Bond film this week. £6 quid for the afternoon show, fair enough. The confectionery and drinks were unbelievably expensive, a bag of Haribo mix in a pound shop was £3.99 here! I dare not look at popcorn prices. Needless to say i did not indulge.. If its a family day out here you could be paying more than an Easyjet flight to Barcelona!
It was the afternoon show with about 35 people in. The adverts and coming film previews lasted too long and way too loud. I had to shield my ears for some of it . Presumably they crank it up for the mid week matinee's as its all death old people in. If the volume didn't drop for the film I would have left. It dropped enough to stay.
Bond was a bonkers near three hours long . In the old days you had an interval to go to the toilet or refill your popcorn. Not these days. The seats are more comfy than those days but Bond still a bum numb-er. You can have VIP seats for extra cash but you can have them anyway if its half empty and no one is looking.
Staff were pleasant although the toilet location no that obvious if you do nip out you have to ask. Film quality on the screen not as good as I had hoped and i would not surprise me that's deliberate to get people to pay more to watch the Imax versions on their next visit.
So loud, fairly priced movies and extortionate sweets and stuff, a once a month treat. If you buy the Taste Card thing you can get 33% off your film admittance.

I have always been very pleasantly surprised but how they continue to keep prices at a much lower rate than the competition. If you just interested in watching the movie and not too bothered by interior, than this is perfect for you!
Many may say that it needs re-furbishment and starting to look old and tired. (May I just add that’s always clean, tidy and presentable at all times I have visited!) But by keeping overheads low but looking presentable enough they can offer the great rates they provide.
Great experience for so little cost really…

Half term visit for me and grandchildren. Pleasent and helpful staff. Comfortable seating and very clean. Cost was reasonable but £2.50 for a small bottle of water was a bit over the top. Overall a successful trip but the carpark is just to narrow for anything bigger than a mini car.

Terrible experience at Vue Cinema Northampton.
Arrived in plenty of time at Cinema in order to purchase food and drinks, unfortunately there was a horrendous queue, as only 1 person was serving.
By the time we were served it was almost time for the film to begin.
I purchased 2 popcorn and 2 soft drinks and was charged £24.06, we were in such a rush that I just tapped my card and left, we didn't want to miss beginning of film. When I got home and thought about cost I checked the website and I had been overcharged.
I have contacted Vue Customer Service, and they weren't interested, obviously not bothered the staff overcharge customers
The trip to the cinema for 2 children and 1 senior, cost almost £50.
Needless to say I won't be going there again.

Film experience was good but start delayed by 15 mins. A week later I received a parking fine for £100 despite following all the steps given by VUE. Have appealed unsuccessfully and so still have to pay. One trip to cinema has therefore cost a ridiculous amount purely due to VUE's failed parking process.
Very disappointed as there appears to be nothing I could have done to avoid this, so be very careful if you are visiting this VUE Cinema in Northampton.

I’ve been visiting this cinema with my dad for over 10 years, and I’ve never been unsatisfied with the experience. With many great sized theatres and staff are always happy to help and assist, it’s very accessible for disabled visitors. However like any cinema the foods purchased on site are very pricey, so would recommend nipping to the local shop (Poundland) to grab a drink and sweets

Large cinema, easy parking, seems to be clean. VIP seats are definitely worth the extra £1.50p comfortable and clean, wasn't very busy, staff friendly. Food over priced as any cinema is. Popcorn ok, asked fir a mix of salt and sweet which was accommodated by a very helpful young lady named layla.
Picture quality good and sound clear and not to over loud.
Would I return..yes

I visited the vue cinema today to watch a film with my sister and we encountered a problem with our online tickets and it wouldn’t allow us to put in the code on the ticket booth to validate our booking. A friendly member of staff called Harry assisted us and even though the tills has been removed as it was close to closing time, he was happy to help and went the extra mile to resolve this, good work vue this kind of customer service will keep us as returning customers and harry should receive a commendation for his efforts!!

Myself and my daughter went to see Take That Wonderland Live on the 9th June, 2017, my daughter booked the tickets online, so on the evening of the 9th, we parked the car in the car park next to the Vue Cinema, walked from the car park level straight into the Vue Cinema complex, with our code in hand we found a very nice guy who showed us how to verify our ticket code and also the car park ticket needs validating, which if you do not exceed the 3hrs free parking, guess what its free to park....
Anyway, with tickets sorted, we checked out the loo's, no complaints very clean, and spacious, then we went to the auditorium to find our seats,my daughter had booked the back row seats, so we could get up and boogie with Take That and not block anyone's view..... the seats were comfy and we had a perfect view point, dead center and plenty of leg room, happy with everything, just waited for the boys to arrive, the place soon filled, and the boys began their concert, brilliant show, fantastic surround sound, a fun time had by all, even the staff were on the side stairs clapping along with the songs to get the party started as they say..... we totes enjoyed, we had been to see Take That the week before at The Genting, and needed a second fix, this was a brill way to see them again...(check out my review for that- titled Take That....Can Take Me Anyday Of The Week), catchy, i know........ ha ha....
Anyway when the concert was finished we made our way back to our car, and because we were under the 3hr time limit we did not need to pay car parking charges, but remember to get your car park ticket validated...... thats a must !!!!!
Also within the complex they have a gym and swimming pool too.....
It is an easy experience, car parked, walk directly into the complex, staff friendly, the area's were all clean, you can buy food and drinks inside the Vue, no complaints at all... 10/10.....

Unbelievably inexpensive, cheap parking and spotless toilets. I went to watch the new James Bond film (don’t waste your time, unless you’re aged 10-15 years old or of limited mental capacity) at Vue, Northampton. Tickets cost £5.99 each plus a booking fee, no point moaning when the ticket is so cheap. I was shocked at the spaciousness of the cinema’s standard seats. I’m 6ft tall and there was plenty of leg room and the seats were comfortable and reclined too. There were foldable armrests, so if you were there with a loved one (or a child) you can cuddle up.
The new JB film is great, in terms of cinematography, but has a very poor, obvious and devious plot. Bond seems impervious to explosions and every single baddie with a machine gun seems incapable of spraying a hail of automatic fire and hitting our hero. I was actually counting the time down until the (obvious) finish. What I can say is, at least there are high levels of comfort in the cinema. Having to sit through 2hrs 40mins of Jeremy Clarkson like humour and pre-pubescent fantasy is not my cup of tea. However, this isn’t Vue, Northampton’s fault. I suppose the JB franchise, which it seems, will change into 007 franchise with a black actress in an Anglo Saxon role will certainly kill of the tiny amount of credibility it remained after trying to last in a World which is rapidly changing for the worse. I can say, if you must watch rubbish (like the forthcoming Marvel movies, the remake of Ghostbusters, the tired Matrix franchise) watch it Vue. You won’t at least be moaning about how much it cost to watch or the comfort of their standard seats which are better than other cinemas’ best seats.
