We have visited St GIles Ale House numerous times and have never been disappointed.

This is a pub like they used to be (in a good way!), with no music, a lovely relaxing atmosphere and superb beers. The owner here really knows how to keep his ale and there is always a great selection of excellent beers. There is a good selection of gins for those who want something other than beer.

I am reluctant to praise St Giles Ale House too much for selfish reasons as it is a hidden gem - a haven from the noisy, packed places that sell awful beer, lager and alco-pops. However, if you want the best kept beer in town with a warm and welcoming atmosphere where you can enjoy a conversation this is heaven.

Always a relaxed atmosphere every visit. Friendly locals and staff who always have banter. The dog is beautiful. Always a good selection of drinks too. They also have few spirts for those who don't drink beer

The smell of ale as you enter is fantastic. The choice is great and long may it be successful. Of course the beer is top notch, but you can get other drinks as well.

Two flavourless beers and little else to choose from. Lots of labels and posters displayed but none on offer.

Friendly small pub, good selection of ales, cider, lager. Welcoming beer garden, great in a sunny afternoon. Would highly recommend!

A small rustic public house with a great selection of real ales & ciders. Friendly atmosphere & a fine ‘grazing platter’ if you feel the need for a bite to eat with your beer.

Lovely small and quite Ale house (Room) in the middle of the town, the beer was great and the fact the place was no to busy even better.
Not a massive choice, but that didn’t matter great place for a quite beer.

Always a wide range of real ales served in a friendly cosy bar not much larger than your own living room by someone who takes obvious pride in what he is doing
