Wine tour with tasting and Lunch
Dec 2021 • Couples
Very enthusiastic Wine Makers and Brewers, tho the brewing is not on the same site.

Lots of information.

Highly recommend you take the tour in warmer, drier months than we did. The land outside was pretty wet and the temperature very cold and gusty winds.

I can imagine this being a great visit seeing the grapes on the vine

Catering was simple and tasty
Wines tasting was non-pushy which made it relaxing and informal

Not just wine, beer too
Nov 2021
Went for a lunch rather than a tour. Food is basic but home made and wholesome (check out the menu on the website but there are specials) but it suited me down to the ground . Good views of the vineyard. The beer and wine are on display and the chap who runs the place can give as much information as you want about them. Staff very friendly. Worth a visit.

Friendly family-run labour of love
Oct 2021
We booked a wine tasting with Yorkshire Heart because we were staying nearby. We didn't know there was a vineyard that near to York and thought it would be fun to see. When we arrived, the harvest was going on with volunteers picking the grapes and the crusher going full tilt. Everyone was friendly and very happy to tell us about what was going on and the short history of the vineyard. The tasting was very good value with three wines and tapas. This is clearly a labour of love rather than a corporate venture and we will certainly come back again to support their efforts. We had a very pleasant couple of hours tasting wine and walking around the vines and we wish them all success.

Who knew that there were vineyards in the UK? This a beautiful hidden wee gem of a place producing delicious wines. Our very cheap wine tasting have us a taster of 6 different vintages and a selection of tapas foods for next to nothing. Vineyard staff visited our table to deliver chat about the grapes, the wines, and the business.
Extra shout out and thank you to new events manager Emma who made our doctors visit with bust bicycles extra special. x

Beautiful location
Sep 2021 • Friends
Just stayed for two nights in our camper van, wow what a location. We pitched up right next to the vines, such a different place to stay. The facilities were so clean felt like we were the first to use the showers. We did a vineyard tour whilst we were there. The hosts were friendly and enthusiastic, the wine is delicious, had afternoon tea afterwards. Would highly recommend the tour and will definitely be back to stay. So close to York and Harrogate makes it a perfect location if visiting the area.

Lovely way to spend an afternoon.
Aug 2021 • Couples
We have just returned home after spending a very interesting afternoon at the Yorkshire Heart Vineyard. What a lovely find and almost on our door step! The vineyard tour was very informative and very entertaining, the wine and afternoon tea was great. A brilliant little set up, the owners should be very proud of all they have done. Well worth a visit.

Owner Chris infectious in a nice way!
Aug 2021 • Couples
Chris was there to meet us with warmth and humour. Been on many wine tours in the US, Oz and South Africa and this was one of the more interesting and informative ones. Enjoyed the wine without being blown away. Would have liked the white and rose more chilled. Next time, and there definitely will be one, I will taste the wine with the crackers and the mild cheese. The stronger cheese and spicy meat seemed to overpower my palate. Afterwards had the light lunch. in hindsight would have gone for the soup and the panini but the ploughman platter was nice. Bought a deal for the tour so thought the experience was incredible value. Even at full price would still have thought a very enjoyable couple of hours

Cheers to an informative tour
Jun 2021 • Couples
My wife and I have been on quite a few vineyard tours over the years all around the world, but I have to say that this one, nearly on my doorstep, is one of the best ever.
We had been bought the tour for a Christmas present and we didn’t quite know what to expect, but it proved to be an exceptionally informative and humorous tour by one of the owners. The tastings on the tour of three of the wines is accompanied by a small plate of food for you to try different wines with different tastes. Our tour included the light lunch, but you can have an afternoon tea as an option.
We had a great time and would have no hesitation in recommending the tour. We learnt more about keeping vines than we had on any other tour.
You can if you want just visit the vineyard for coffee or a light snack without taking a tour.
Definitely worth a visit, but don’t forget to book for the tour.

Two hours very well spent

What a fantastic couple of hours we spent on the vineyard tour and wine tasting. Chris was a fantastic host, very informative, interesting and funny and supported by his wonderful family. After the tour and tasting then enjoyed a lovely, light lunch. Would definitely recommend this place. Thank you.

Informative but personable
Jul 2021 • Couples
Very informative tour, while also being down-to-earth, funny, personable and very much 'their story'- telling how and why they chose to start the vineyard venture in N Yorkshire. Very nice mix of learning new information but also feeling invited into a part of someone's life. Likeable staff throughout. Good wine and beer, plan to order again in the future. Would recommend to all.
