Went with friends for Whitney queen of the night , was ok not as good as the Diana Ross show, we go to the Barbican regularly but last night was a joke couldn’t get served at the bar when we arrived. Security man was turning people away he was asking people to take their seats so we didn’t have a drink to take in So at the interval we headed to the bar again , just 4 staff on bar , one young man on the bar was rude and shouting at people, so again we went back in with no drinks, this is not acceptable from a place like the Barbican, more bar staff needed Think the people that didn’t get drinks the first time should be given some kind of ticket to make them priority the next time . you can’t expect people not to have a drink at all , on the plus side we saved some money

We went to see Tony Blackburn's Sound of the Sixties Show on 22nd March 2023. The show, and Tony, were great but the venue left a lot to be desired. The sound quality was terrible - with everything being blasted out at great volume from two large speakers hung on either side of the stage. We had chosen seats on the far right of the auditorium so unfortunately were close to the right hand speaker but a long way from the left hand speaker. This resulted in an "out of phase" stereo effect due to the long unequal distances to the speakers. I dread to think what the soune quality would be like for a concert band or classical music. The seats were quite uncomfortable with little knee room once the person in front sat down and tipped their seat back. The auditorium was very slow to empty as almost all of the front stalls have to exit down narrow aisles and then just two side doors at the front.

This is a great venue, with a good range of shows on offer to suit all tastes. We went to watch Post Modern Jukebox on 30 April. We had great seats at the back of the balcony, which had decent leg room and a good view of the stage. Some seats had very little legroom so you do need to choose carefully, and get an end of row if legroom is an issue. There are plenty of toilets available, but there was hardly any water coming out of the taps in the ladies loos upstairs on the night of our visit. There are long queues for the bars, but these move quickly. I was impressed with the provision of free tap water, you can help yourself from the urn provided at the end of the bar. Overall, there are good and bad points, but we would return, for a good show as it’s a great night out.

went to see Gabrielle she was good but not well. the venue , seats do not have long legs !!!/tatty seats/ crowd behind us was awful swearing etc there was no staff to be seen at all. The seats when the person gets up hits your knees going up and down stairs no bars to hold on saw 4 staff only at the side when Gabrielle was on other than that no-one to sort the disgusting crowd behind us The lighting was madness , it was like someone was switching on and off all the time

Off bucket list now just thought I’d try it. Saw Shaun Murphy Rob Walker Dennis Taylor etc so all good. Bought two tickets in the Clifford’s lounge why tho? An additional £40 for one drink each that’s it😳 please avoid this as the second pint they charge £7.50 each😩 why tho who knows. Seats in arena are tiny luckily I booked ens seats these are all ok if your 8stone soaking but average male you can’t sit still for more than 10 mins! Anyway my total package costs over £100 watched three frames and left WST and Barbican you need to look at what your doing it’s just a rip off and disappointment considering this is something I’ve wanted to do for years!

Went yesterday with my wife to watch the snooker. Once through security, inside reception area. Queue for food very slow moving. Not enough staff serving. £6.50 for a small cone of oven baked frozen chips. Don’t think so! Signage non existing, no idea which way to head to our seats. Finally took our seats, way to small. Very squashed in. A poor experience. Won’t be heading back. Shame really as I love the snooker.

Booked to see Simon Reeves one man show. Arrived at the theatre to be confronted by queues at security. When we eventually got to the front of the queue neither our bags nor ourselves were scanned, so why the queues? The theatre is, compared to many other theatres of it age, due a facelift, with especially the tatty and torn seating in need of replacement. Fortunately, we were seated behind the sound decks and so has an uninterrupted view of the stage.
