We really enjoyed this walking tour -- learnt a lot and it peaked our interest in learning more. Only wish there had been a way to pay/tip/donate for the tour -- perhaps to the local historical society?

I love that the guides do this for the love of their city. We chose this walk because we felt confident that we would get a factual tour of the city and we were not disappointed.

Small group of 5 makes it easy to hear tour guide. What a great service to offer free tours. Malcolm was able to provide history of the city including personal memories of living in the city as a boy during WWII.

Mel has a gift for education! He made the history of York (which is complicated) easy to understand. Including a clever analogy of a club sandwich with all its layers representing all the varied 'layers' of occupation that built York into what it is today....More
