This museum was not as good as I had hoped but it wasn't bad. Lots of information on how the Romans bathed. Worth 45 mins of your time.

Four of us were looking for somewhere to eat when this pub presented itself. Cosy and interesting interior with helpful staff and a very nice Sunday roast which arrived promptly. There is a museum downstairs which we did not visit on this occasion.

This is a small but lovely museum that reveals a really important part of Roman York. There's lot of information on the walls about what you're looking at and there are clothes and roman equipment for the young, and young at heart, to try on....More

Very expensive for a five minute visit to a haphazard messy historical site. So much more could be done to improve the site. Random beer mats and other unnecessary detritus littered the site. Not worth it.

We stopped in here for a quick lunch on a Monday. The menu was good and the service was attentive and welcoming. Don't miss the little museum underneath where they have unearthed the old Roman baths from the fortress.

From the outside it looks like a lovely old pub that will sell guest ales and be quite quirky. From the inside it isn't! Only one ale much to my husbands disgust. An old fashioned, dated feel not in the right way and a very...More

Just stairs I am afraid. It's like going down to the cellar, and then it opens up.
