Good little pub

Nice pub. I was there on a Wednesday, which was a quiz night (a very good quiz too). Generally younger adults in there. Good selection of drinks and not too pricey.

Out with friends for a drink or two. If you are a beer drinker this is a fantastic pub as I seem to recall there were a plethora to choose from. Personally I prefer lager, but not withstanding, I was as able to find a suitable drink.

Excellent beer (mainly excellent York Brewery) served by friendly staff in a 'real pub'. Friendly clientele (dogs amongst them - never a bad thing), great location (good chippy and second hand bookshop nearby, town centre) - what more do you need in a pub? Great place to unwind and also to peoplewatch if that's your thing with big open views... More

I always like to pop in to the last drop whenever I visit York because of the well kept beer. On a recent trip this week my wife and I called in for a beer and a warming pot of tea on a cold afternoon. I ordered a pint of ghost which was promptly pulled and my wife asked for... More

I'm really very sorry to hear you weren't able to enjoy a cup of tea when you visited our pub over Christmas and particularly about what appears to be the less than genial conduct of one of my employees. Unfortunately the busy festive period placed extra demands on the staff and our resources which meant that we were unable to... More

We called in here for a couple of drinks whilst in York. Its a quaint pub and it was quite busy. The staff were friendly and the service was good.

A great pub in central York. Yes there are a lot of those! A York Brewery pub so does the full range of local ales as well as a fine selection of ciders. Good pub grub with no frills and a central courtyard. Always busy!

Didn't try the food but it smelled/looked good. Fine collection of local ales. Fair prices. Worth a look 👍🏻

Visited today for a cider or two good menu and beer but sadly no gluten free food or beer but man behind the bar recommended a good gluten free restaurant which was very good of him. Good atmosphere and nice courtyard to the rear traditional ale house worth a visit close to Shambles

Only my second visit to York and went in here for a pint and a sandwich for lunch. Nice pub, nice bar staff, nice beer. Ordered a sausage sandwich with fried onions, lovely proper sausages and perfectly fried onions.............and a small jug of gravy ! what a brilliant idea. Don't get that down south. Went in again later with friends... More
