Very nice in general, the under croft was good and the tower is good, but it's fully caged. Enjoyed it.

I absolutely recommend taking a few hours to delve into the many layers of history here. The minster is amazing today, I can't imagine what is was like for people in the middle ages. There is a museum in the crypt with Roman ruins and...More

Stunning church. So much history in the architecture. Beautiful grounds too to sit and relax on the grass under the trees. Very tranquil.

it is a fabulous building. pay extra £5 for the tower tour (should be cheaper with the entrance fee), it is quite tired to walk so many staircases but really worth for that. brilliant and stunning 360⁰ city view (with description)

Highlight of our trip to York was the Minster. If you want to go to the top, buy your tickets (nominal additional fee) early because the tour groups fill up quickly.

We did a self guided tour with no guide or time restrictions. My husband and son took the roof top tour and it was filled over an hour out. Go early if you don’t have the ability to wait. They seemed to run every 45 minutes... More

There are at least 4 services every day. Details are on the Minster's website but evensong at 5.15 on weekdays, usually with the choir, is very popular.
