Stopped at CMC site. For five nights Good site with lovely wardens.,Great access to York centre. Would recommend although need to book well in advance .

a lovely area, and a modern bridge in which to cross over if needed, there was tennis courts and a skate park, and its close to the river that leads into the centre of york, easy to get your bearings

Donated to respect the sacrifice of Rowntree workers in the 1st world War and kept in good condition. a large area. it allows dogs but only on a lead (unfortunately) and its within walking distance of the town

We were staying a the caravan park next door and decided to visit. This is a hidden gem in the outskirts of the city. The tea room was interesting and the grounds cared for and loved.

A few decent tennis courts but they have a code lock so you would need a temporary membership from the park / council. No idea on cost I’m afraid
