Review of: The York Dungeon

My wife and me hadn't planned a visit but we came out of the pub next door and thought why not. I initially thought £13 each might be a bit steep but it's worth every penny. The acting is brilliant, funny and actors convincing in...More

We enjoyed our visit to York dungeon and found the actors to be great, the history of the stories was fascinating. I especially loved the dick Turpin experience although a little frightening for some of the younger ones. My only gripe was the actors picked...More

Enjoyed the visit here very much. Some jump scares and some gruesome history. Actors were excellent and would recommend a trip to the Dungeons.

Had a good laugh and was thoroughly entertained. Each part was unique and completely unexpected, certain parts were better than others. I enjoyed the judge, Dick Turpin and the Viking parts the most.

Now, I've a few friends working here and I've managed to recognize them even with the heavy make up but it didn't make the experience any less enjoyable. If you're up for a scare or to just have a good time, this is the place...More

Review of: The York Dungeon

One of my favourite ever run throughs at York Dungeon on Friday. Incorporating Margaret Clitherow and lsabella Billington into the ordinary experience after last year's Rogues and Legends seasonal shows works so well. Very pleased that the concluding spiel/audio has returned too. The new witch...More

Like all the uk ‘dungeons’ this is a good, fun way to spend an hour. Great fun (but costly if you buy all the bells and whistles) for all off the family. Everyone will learn something too, so it’s all good.

Queued for about 40 minutes, and it could be said £16 is a little expensive. All I can say is it was well worth the wait and the price. Very funny, brilliant actors and the odd "jumpy" bit. Would highly recommend. Probably not for some...More

Took my 9 yr old with me to the Dungeon. After a half hour wait so that the obligatory photos could be taken we were off on a hour and a half tour. Each scene told a story of blood and guts of years past....More

I visited with my daughter and 3 grandchildren. The tour was both interesting and entertaining, Although there were some tragic stories, such as that of Margaret Clitherow, other parts were given a touch of humour by the actors.
