We didn't see any ghosts but did hear some entertaining tales from York's storied past. Some of the tales seemed a bit outrageous but when we fact-checked a couple of them, they checked out! To "Honest John"!

We were stopping in York on bonfire night after we’d had a spa day, and had decided the last time we stayed in September that we would do some kind of ghost/terror walk when we came again. We went for a drink in the Golden...More

We're just on our way home from a day in York, which we finished off with the Terror Trail tour starting at the Golden Fleece. We've previously done ghost tours which were also good, but we really enjoyed the Terror trail- it was much more...More

We chose this walk rather than a ghost walk as we wanted to know more about the unknown dark history of York. We were not disappointed. The guide was extremely knowledgable but presented the facts in an entertaining and thought provoking way. The sad/serious side...More

The guides put on a good performance and were very entertaining. There were a lot of horrific but sad stories on the history of York. The way they told the stories was very touching and filled with a lot of emotion. I would definitely recommend...More

The actors were great and really brought the stories to life but some parts felt a little forced and more appropriate for kids. The tour was advertised as 75 mins but was closer to 90 so had to miss the end to avoid missing out...More

My children had chosen this tour and whilst I was initially not sure it would be interesting I am so pleased we took it. We had Jake as our guide and he had so much energy bouncing around the city bringing terrible stories to life....More

For young children it is cute but as for older Adults, you may find it a bit silly as we did. The actors put their all into it and included the Audience.

My husband and I set out intent on a ghost walk, but found ourselves here instead. Who needs ghost stories when the real thing is so much worse? This tour is entertaining and fun, but reminds you that History teaches you what it is in...More

Just turn up outside the Golden Fleece Pub. They won’t take any money off you until the end of the walk. I think it’s a 7 start, but the sign is there all day giving the details. Enjoy.
